How should I say this? SUCKASS!!! Mulder was barely there. What the hell is going on with him?!

I am so DISAPPOINTED.

Alas.

Byrnes, Scutaro, Swisher, Bobby

I do not like the sinking feeling. It sucks. GRRRR!!! I don’t want the season to end this weekend.

WIN, PLEASE WIN!

I’m not totally pathetic, am I? 😛

There for the game…

30 September 2004

And the A's win! Seattle 2, Oakland 3 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Octavio Dotel (6-6)
Losing Pitcher – Scott Atchison (2-3)

OAK Runs: 3, Hits: 5, Errors: 1

HR: OAK: B. Crosby (22), J. Dye (23).
Oakland Record: (90-69)

Slightly sucky photos by me: Bobby in position, Bobby at the plate, Chavez ready to swing, the field reflected in the hubby’s sunglasses…

First off, THEY WON!!! WOOHOO!!! Coupled with Anaheim’s loss against Texas, the A’s now sit in first place, tied with the Angels. Awesome! 😀

More pictures by me: Bobby before the game, Scutaro and Bobby, Chavez, Byrnes ready for anything…

Second, GO BOBBY!!! I screamed when he hit the homerun. (We were already on our way home, but it was still very exciting.) We listened to his short interview on the radio after the game. Modest boy.

AP Photos… The best moment of the game…

I had a good time at the game, of course. We sat in our seats for two innings, then headed to the West Side Club and had food and drinks at the bar. It was a lot of fun sitting there watching the game. When Dye hit his homerun (go Dye!), we all hollered and it was great!

After spending time at the bar, we walked around and ended up in the second deck (aka the Plaza Level) and watched most of the game from there. Yes, we left before the game ended. We wanted a head start getting home.

A wonderful day at the ballpark! My last regular season game attended. This weekend is going to be fun and nervewracking! LOL!

Loss # 7 for Harden

29 September 2004

today in baseball Seattle 4, Oakland 2 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Bobby Madritsch (6-3)
Losing Pitcher – Rich Harden (11-7)

SEA Runs: 4, Hits: 10, Errors: 1
OAK Runs: 2, Hits: 3, Errors: 1

Oakland Record: (89-69)

DISAPPOINTED!!! What’s worse is that Anaheim won, so now the A’s are sitting in 2nd place. HORRIBLE.

Alas…

Loss #6 for Hudson

28 September 2004

today in baseball Seattle 7, Oakland 2 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Gil Meche (7-6)
Losing Pitcher – Tim Hudson (12-6)

SEA Runs: 7, Hits: 13, Errors: 1
OAK Runs: 2, Hits: 9, Errors: 0

HR: SEA: B. Boone (24).
Oakland Record: (89-68)

I’m so disappointed. And I sat through the game. I played on my computer, took some screenshots that are now lost forever because my camera frickin’ freaked. Alas. ALAS!

But I do have some happiness in the near future. We’re going to the game on Thursday. Most wonderful! We’re sitting on the first base side. Maybe we’ll heckle the Seattle players. NOT! LOL! But I will take LOTS of pictures. I’m just that way. Maybe we’ll get there early enough for me to take close-up pics of the players. 😉

My Saffy dog

Since I don’t have any screenshots from tonight’s game, I give you Saffy, the sassy Yorkie. 😀 She doesn’t look too sassy in the pic though, eh?

Loss #7 for Mulder

26 September 2004

listening to... “Recuerdo” by Carlos Ponce
today in baseball Oakland 2, Anaheim 6 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim

Winning Pitcher – John Lackey (14-12)
Losing Pitcher – Mark Mulder (17-7)

OAK Runs: 2, Hits: 6, Errors: 2
ANA Runs: 6, Hits: 9, Errors: 0

HR: ANA: T. Glaus (17), D. Eckstein (2).
Oakland Record: (88-67)

Bobby, Mulder, Byrnes, Chavez

I don’t know why, but the fact that Mulder was the starting pitcher today did not give me the same kind of confidence for a win as it has in the past. It makes me mad! Mulder is still looking horrible on the mound.

Doesn’t stop me from taking screenshots, of course.

But that’s beside the point! What’s Mulder’s problem? He’s ineffective. And I ADORE him. So it hurts to think that he’s not doing well. It hurts even more to witness. It’s frustrating.

Mulder, Harden, Hudson, Mulder

I still managed to take some nice shots though, eh? One of the only good things about watching their loss.

ALAS!!!

The Moneyball book is pretty interesting. I’m on the Scott Hatteberg chapter. I can already tell that I’m going to have to re-read this book. I’m skimming too much on the non-A’s stuff. (Yes, I’m skimming a little!)

Awhile back, I received an email from a young Ryan fan who thought I was Ryan. Usually I just discard those emails, but for some reason I replied to this young fan. She ended up being TEN (hello, where are her parents?!) and she asked me if I was going to stop talking to her because she’s young. Well, I didn’t want to be rude or anything, so I continued the email exchange. But man, ever since I found out how old she was, I’ve felt a little uncomfortable emailing with her. It’s just WEIRD. I think I wouldn’t want my ten year old chatting with an adult. It feels like a trap. Like this would be a good way for cops to trap perverts. Know what I mean?

For example, should a ten year old girl ask if I think Ryan is “hot?” Would I really go on and on about how “hot” I think Ryan is to a ten year old?! Umm, no. (Besides, Ryan was never “hot” to me anyway. He’s cute and overwhelmingly talented, but not what I would consider “hot.”) The whole thing is just weird. And again, where the hell are her parents?

:: sigh :: Why did my A’s have to lose?

Loss to the bullpen

25 September 2004

listening to... “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” – Big & Rich
today in baseball Oakland 3, Anaheim 5 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim

Winning Pitcher – Francisco Rodriguez (4-1)
Losing Pitcher – Chad Bradford (5-7)
SV – Troy Percival(30)

OAK Runs: 3, Hits: 5, Errors: 2
ANA Runs: 5, Hits: 8, Errors: 1

HR: OAK: J. Dye (21). ANA: D. Erstad (7).

Oakland Record: (88-66)

AP Photo… Bobby diving and missing…

They lost. Alas!!!

I started reading Moneyball. I almost started reading the latest Harry Potter book. I even had it in my hand, but I was in a baseball mood, so I went back to the book shelf and pulled out Moneyball. Groovay.

Alternative Lifestyle…

The two magazines I bought yesterday were Advocate and Out. I bought them because of my fella, William Gregory Lee. (Do you know I have the audacity to call him “my actor friend?” LOL!)

From Out:

No, he doesn’t go by “William.” Trust me.

From Advocate:

Greg plays Ambrosius in the mini-series Dante’s Cove. They want to call the mini-series “the gay Buffy.” Groovy!

Aside from my personal eye candy, there are actually some interesting articles in both magazines. You really don’t have to be gay to read them, just open to different things. 😉

Ah, and since magazines are mentioning Dante’s Cove, I’ve lifted the password protection on the Dante’s Cove page I have at my Greg site. I hope no one minds! 😛
