Yippee, the A’s won! 😀 Go Byrnesy! Twenty homeruns so far. Groovay. 😉
I’m working on the pictures from last Sunday’s bridal shower. My fellow bridesmaids are at this very moment in Las Vegas. I hope they take lots of pictures. What are the chances? LOL! Bummer I couldn’t go. Oh well. I’ll be there in two weeks. Ye gods!
Work was hectic today! Fridays aren’t supposed to be hectic, darn it! Blah. 😛
I bought two alternative lifestyle magazines today. Both have tiny articles (and some very nice pictures) of Dante’s Cove, William Gregory Lee’s upcoming mini-series set to debut on HereTV. The pictures are juicy! LOL! I hope I can watch the series. It might be a pay per view kind of thing…
Blown save and a loss to the freakin’ bullpen
23 September 2004
Oakland 4, Texas 5 at Ameriquest Field in Arlington
Winning Pitcher – Jeff Nelson (1-2)
Losing Pitcher – Octavio Dotel (4-6)
OAK Runs: 4, Hits: 10, Errors: 0

I was “watching” this game at work online. Dotel was a STRIKE away from getting the save and handing Hudson the win. But NOOOOO, Dotel decided he’d go ahead and give up the game ending double. GRRRRR!!!
Hey, Bobby hit a homerun. I was happy when I saw that. Go Bobby! 😀

The New TV Season…
LOST – First off, I must admit that I didn’t want to watch this show. ABC has this way of hooking you onto shows then snatching them back and releasing them into oblivion. (Examples: Veritas and Miracles) Of course, other networks do the same (FOX: Dark Angel, John Doe, etc.). But the husband wanted to watch Lost and I read a decent review, so I gave it a shot. Intriguing show. I’m a little hooked right now. I want to see more. I must see more!!! 😀
JOEY – I watched the first ep, laughed, then forgot to watch the second one. Ah well. I’m sure it won’t miss me.
HAWAII – I saw the first and second (or 3rd?) eps, but haven’t seen any after that. I liked it though. Slick, funny, action, and humor. Yah!
CSI: NY – The pilot was SLOW. Gloomy. Bleak. We’re giving it one more episode. It will be a shame if I don’t continue to watch it. I just love Melina Kanakaredes.
MEDICAL INVESTIGATION – I didn’t watch the pilot, but what I’ve seen has been good. I like the actors (especially McDonough and Gorham), so I’ll be watching this one. 😉
Old shows coming back…
CSI:MIAMI – I’m so sad about Speed. WHY?! Well, I know why, but it was sad. So fast, so sad… SURVIVOR: VANUATU – I’m watching it no matter what. I hope one of the cute guys lasts. LOL!… CSI – Just less than an hour before show starts. Woohoo!… LAS VEGAS – I just love this show. It’s on the TiVo right now…
And that’s me watching too much tv. LOL!

I never seem to have enough time to blog now. Too much tv watching. 😛

Oakland Record: (87-63)

What can I say? Mulder is KILLING me. Breaking my heart. I suppose I should be happy that I didn’t get the chance to actually witness the loss on television. The local channel wasn’t showing the game.

In the rear view mirror on Sunday dusk…
You shouldn’t take pictures while you’re driving, but I couldn’t resist…
Bridal Shower Day and # 11 for Redman
19 September 2004
Oakland 2, Seattle 1 at Safeco Field
Winning Pitcher – Mark Redman (11-12)
Losing Pitcher – Bobby Madritsch (5-3)
OAK Runs: 2, Hits: 9, Errors: 0
SEA Runs: 1, Hits: 8, Errors: 0
Oakland Record: (87-62)
Yippee, the A’s won! I didn’t get to see any of it, just very quick highlights on ESPN when I got home from Alameda.
The Bridal Shower
The shower was very nice! I took tons of pictures and some of them actually turned out all right. LOL! Here are a few in the square:

The Bride with four of five bridesmaids, the flowers on the cake, the Bride’s piece of pottery, the Bride and the mother of the bride…
The food was great! And I think a lot of people enjoyed the painting pottery part. I want to go back there (it’s called Art and Soul)and paint some pottery. I had my eye on a little turtle. It was beckoning me. 😉
The weather was rather harsh early in the day. As I was driving into the Bay Area, rain poured down. Thank goodness it cleared up in Alameda.
I will hopefully have the pictures up before next weekend. We shall see…
Update to walelia.com
19 September 2004The doggies got groomed yesterday! As you can see, Saffy is freshly cut and shiny. She’s very soft too. And Meggie (who doesn’t ever look different after the groomer’s, but FEELS different to the touch) is absolutely gleaming. She smells good too. And she’s not dusty. LOL!
I’ve got my Tristar Show page up! Yes, my “official” photos arrived yesterday. I went out to get the mail and there they were. How exciting! I love that when I go get the mail, there’s something in there for me. Ahhh. And if you didn’t notice, I’ve also got last year’s Tristar Show photos posted as well. 🙂

with Chavez…

with my ballboy…
Needless to say (but I’m going to say it anyway), I LOVE MY PICTURES! I was comparing my photos from last year and my face looks just a little thinner in this year’s photos. Hmmm. The husband thinks it’s the short hair. I think it’s that and that my hair is straight. Hot irons, gotta love them.
Okay, it’s Bridal Shower day today. I must leave in about thirty minutes or so to be in Pleasanton by 11am. I will pick up a Wagon Wheel at Erik’s Deli, then head to Alameda. I hope it isn’t raining too hard. Bah! 😀
#12 for Hudson
18 September 2004Oakland 7, Seattle 4 at Safeco Field

Losing Pitcher – Cha Seung Baek (1-4)
OAK Runs: 7, Hits: 12, Errors: 0
SEA Runs: 4, Hits: 9, Errors: 1
HR: OAK: Chavez (29), SEA: Winn (14)
Oakland Record: (86-62)

Bobby, Mulder, Hudson, Zito and Mulder
Yippee, they won! I got to watch Hudson earn a win. Bobby made a spectacular play. Byrnes laid out for one in the outfield. It was GREAT! 😀
