Tomorrow’s game beckons

Mulder warming up today…
Mulder aims to force a Game 7 – Please do, Mr. Mulder. Nothing would please me more than to watch a torturous game 7. 🙂 And I’m sure those Cardinals fans want just a little more time at Busch stadium. Keep your cool, make your pitches, and that’s all you can do…
In memory of Bill King
18 October 2005Bay Area broadcast legend Bill King dies
Athletics Radio Announcer Bill King Dies
I just cannot believe he is gone. My whole heart feels a little squeezed right now. I want to cry. From the very first moment that I started listening to the A’s, Bill King was THE VOICE. The voice of my baseball team. He never wavered as the years went by and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to hear him a couple of times this past season. I will miss his play by play.
Journey well, voice of the A’s…
Still thinking about that monster homer…
18 October 2005How Pujols changed the world – a great article by Jayson Stark. A most beautiful way to remember last night’s moment. Very well written. I almost have tears in my eyes. I’m such a sucker for baseball, eh?
I woke up this morning still thinking about it. How could I not? It was one of the most amazing things I’d ever seen. And the way the whole stadium just hushed and the only cheers you heard came from the Cardinals bench. Must have been a bit heartbreaking for them. Hopefully this will be the trigger for the Cardinals. I can’t wait until tomorrow night’s game!!! 😀
Just a fading glimmer…
17 October 2005I never like being a downer type of person and it’s only baseball and it’s not even my A’s but damnit, the Cardinals are on their way to breaking my heart. Will I not see Mark Mulder pitch one more time this post season? Will he not have the chance to redeem himself?
Top of the 9th, two outs, two men on base. Pujols stands at the plate.
OH MY HOLY GOD!!! Albert Pujols just hit a freakin’ home run!!!
5-4.
Cardinals are up by one.
AMAZING. This is truly utterly unbelievable amazing.
Okay, the glimmer is brightening just a bit…
[ETA] – And they’re heading back to St. Louis!!! Mark Mulder will pitch Wednesday. He will redeem himself. Take it to a game seven boys!!! 😀
No, he’s 6’6″!

A long weekend recap

Reaper and Sarge in DOOM
Doom and Stay come out the same day. Even though I’m seeing neither of them on opening day, I still think it’s weird that two movies starring fellas I’ve met are opening on the same exact day. Okay, not so much a coincidence, just my mind at work. Scary.

Ryan Gosling in STAY
During our Sunday stores trip, I bought the novelization for Doom. Karl’s on the cover! (I should take a picture, but I’m lazy.) I bet I read the book before I see the movie. 😆 I will see the movie at the theatre. It’s ever my destiny to watch Karl on the big screen whenever I get the chance. 😉 (more…)
