Reaper and Sarge in DOOM
Doom and Stay come out the same day. Even though I’m seeing neither of them on opening day, I still think it’s weird that two movies starring fellas I’ve met are opening on the same exact day. Okay, not so much a coincidence, just my mind at work. Scary.

During our Sunday stores trip, I bought the novelization for Doom. Karl’s on the cover! (I should take a picture, but I’m lazy.) I bet I read the book before I see the movie. 😆 I will see the movie at the theatre. It’s ever my destiny to watch Karl on the big screen whenever I get the chance. 😉
Saturday was spent watching lots of sports and napping. A truly lazy day after I had a 9:30am appointment. Waking up early on a Saturday kinda sucks, but it was an interesting 45 minutes or so. 😛 Maybe more on that later perhaps… Anyhoo, watched baseball and football and napped for no reason except that I could. Lovely!… The Cardinals swept the Padres! Most glorious! So very happy for them!… The Red Sox were themselves swept. Too bad, not so sad… I’m cheering for the Angels only for this simple fact– if they go to the World Series and the Cardinals are there to meet them, the chances of me attending a World Series game are much better. Of course, if the Angels can’t handle their business, well, they SUCK. But until then, go Angels! Why couldn’t you win last night, you freakin’ bastards?!…
Sunday we watched most of the first half of the Braves/Astros game. Tim Hudson pitched a great game and was so screwed in the end. Freakin’ Farnsworth!!! After 18 innings (yeah, they played two games in one, eh?), the Braves were downed by a walk-off home run. Alas! I was looking forward to the Mulder/Hudson match-up. It would have happened, I’m certain of it!… We left the house in the 9th inning. Delicious pasta at Johnny Carinos, then stops at CompUSA, Borders, and Best Buy. We’re such consumers. It’s most groovy. As before mentioned, I bought the Doom book, as well as some other books I started reading while in the store– Wicked and Poison Study (I think that’s right). I’ll let you all know how I like them… When we came back home and settled down, we watched the director’s cut of Army of Darkness, then Underworld. Underworld rocked! I hadn’t seen it before, probably because I was too lazy. I threw it out there during AOD, but didn’t tell the hubby why I wanted to watch it. He figured it out when Wentworth Miller flashed on the screen. He rolled his eyes at me. 😛 I’m such a nerd!
And today we watched the rest of Dinotopia. Decent mini, I suppose. There were a few jumps in the story that I found a bit jarring. Otherwise, fine to watch. 😛
Now the Angels and Yankees are on. I should go watch…
