This game was televised in HD. One of the only bright spots of watching it this evening. Otherwise, it was just a bummer.

I spent most of my early day working on the pictures from my sister’s wedding. Looking back in the pics made me wish for the moments again. The good thing about capturing the moments? I suppose. I still haven’t watched my video footage. Ye gods!

Why TiVo rocks

16 September 2005

We watched Threshold in “real time” after the A’s game ended. Watching network shows in real time really works my patience. You can actually keep track of how much time passes between commercial breaks and let me tell you, it’s not a pretty thing. The two hour premiere of Threshold had commercial breaks every 10 minutes. TEN MINUTES! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve watched a show as it’s showing, but come on, I know you get more than ten minutes between breaks. And to premiere a show with that many breaks is frustrating. I understand wanting to create suspense, but the constant breaks were ridiculous. I was so longing for my TiVo!

All that said, I enjoyed the show. I must confess, I wanted to watch it because of Brent Spiner. I think he’s a very talented actor and it’s wonderful seeing him in a role other than Data. Besides, who can resist a sci-fi show? Not me! 😆 And the guy who plays Cavannaugh (Brian Van Holt) was pretty cool. 😉

Oh yes, let’s not forget the way the A’s lost. Alas. (more…)
