Streak halted…
3 June 2005Alas.
But first, some sample pictures…

My A’s bag
I got a new digital camera! I am such a freakin’ tech geek. The latest piece of technology is the Sony Cybershot T7, the latest in the ultra slim line. It’s almost as small as my Razr! So cool. I’m going to have fun with it this weekend. 😀

Ares, version “The Deliverer”
I’m spoiled.
Oh yes, baseball score next…

Street Talk
1 June 2005Closing the deal – In the first installment of his diary, Huston Street describes how best to handle the pressure of pitching in the ninth inning.
A nice first installment for Huston Street. I like the way he starts it:
Every kid who has dreamed of being a baseball player has stood in his front yard with a bat and said to himself, “Bottom of the ninth, Game 7 of the World Series, the bases are loaded,” and then envisioned hitting a home run to win the game. My job is to shatter that dream.
A good way to end the month of May…

Wow, another win! 😀 Happiness. It’s good to see LOTS of scoring from the A’s.
Mark Mulder did not fare so well. Alas. He actually got TWO hits in his second loss of the season. Doesn’t really seem quite right, does it? 🙁

Did anyone catch the Melhuse commercial? It was actually a commercial for Rich Harden’s Bobblehead Day (coming up this Sunday). “Are you shaking me off Harden?” 😆 It was so funny! I don’t think I’ve ever seen Melhuse in a commercial…
Early morning baseball…
29 May 2005Ahhh, the middle of a holiday weekend. Glorious. 😉
I’ve started Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. (Did I get the title right?) I bought the book when it finally came out in paperback, but I’ve only just started it. I think I’ll read the other books again after I’m finished. I really enjoy reading the adventures of Mr. Potter. And really, I just enjoy reading! Sometimes I forget how much I love reading novels…
We finished up the first season of House. Brilliant show! 🙂 We’re all caught up on our television shows and now I can concentrate fully on baseball.
Bah.
