I didn’t even watch a bit of it…

11 June 2005

I didn’t see any of the game. Was it even on tv? Oh well, I was up in Sacramento getting my Bruce Campbell book signed. More on that later. 😉

Oh, and the Cardinals lost too. Darn it!

Mulder lost again today...
Alas, Mulder got the “L” for today’s game…

10 June 2005

woohoo, a win!!! Oakland 6, Atlanta 4
at Turner Field

Winning pitcher – Danny Haren (4-7)
Losing pitcher – Roman Colon (0-3)

Atlanta Runs: 4, Hits: 9, Errors 0

HR: OAK: E. Chavez (8) B. Crosby (2) ATL: M. Giles (4)
Oakland Record:(24-36)

And the A’s won! Woohoo! We caught some of it on tv. It was tied 4-4 when we turned it on. Sometime later (the 7th inning), Chavez was up with one man on and I yelled at him to do his job. He replied with a most lovely homerun. 😆 Gotta love it!

I haven’t read any of that Bruce Campbell book. I’m going to go to that book signing tomorrow without having read a word of his new book. Ye gods! I wonder if he’s going to read any of it for us. 😛 I hope I can take a picture with him. That would be soooo cool!

And later, I’ll tell you all about my latest toy. 😉

Swept out of DC

9 June 2005

And now I just have one more day alone in processing. THANK GOODNESS!!! I am so ready to not be alone in there. It’s definitely a two person gig. Ye gods!

The bluetooth in my Powerbook is working properly again. Woohoo! I can take the pictures off my phone and transfer them to my computer. I get excited over the goofiest things, eh?

One more day of work. And it’ll be a short-ish one. We need to take the doggie to the vet so that they can check her ears out. We took the cone off yesterday for the whole night and it’s off again tonight. I think Meggie appreciates the temporary freedom. But she doesn’t like taking her medicine. Poor doggie!

I changed the layout of my Textamerica site. And if you want to see my Rich Harden bobblehead in action, head out there! Anyhoo, sometimes I wonder why I have both a Textamerica and Buzznet account. I like both of them, truly. I just like how with Textamerica you can send video files. Tis totally groovay!

Then there’s baseball…

Another road loss

8 June 2005

But first, life stuff. 😉

I’m looking forward to the weekend. Why?

1. It means I survived being alone in processing. It’s been a little stressful, which I never enjoy.
2. Bruce Campbell is doing a book signing and showing his movie in Sacramento on Saturday. And we’re probably going!!! 😀

Bruce was on Attack of the Show yesterday and we TiV0’d it for posterity. I think he was wearing a shirt that the hubby has. 😆 Anyhoo, I’ve adored Bruce since his Xena days and totally LOVED him as Brisco County Jr (which was airing on TNT long after it was cancelled). And yes, he rocks in the Evil Dead flicks. So this could be my chance to finally shake his hand and take a picture with him. Hail to the king, baby!

A Zito loss…

7 June 2005

I woke up after a long dream about one Barry Zito. Why Barry?! In my dream, we took a picture together, talked about me missing Mulder, and his fashion sense. 😉 Then later he sent me a text message asking me to call him.

I have crazy ass dreams sometimes.

And then he had to go and lose his game today. Oh Barry!

GREAT GAME!!! I had a super time, especially the first three innings. 😉 The A’s suppled all that early excitement, giving us the rest of the game to chit chat. 😆 It’s nice to share the suite. I hope everyone had a groovy time.

Me before gametime…

The fancy box for the bobblehead…

me with my cousins

My cousins and I had been going to the Photo Days the three years previous but this year doesn’t have a Photo Day. Alas! This was the game we could all get together and this time the fellas came along with us. 😉

I’m working on my photos from the game. I’ll be lucky if I finish them tonight. Hopefully by tomorrow! 😀

[edit] The gallery is complete! 😀 Check out lots of photos from the game here.

I also forgot to mention that we watched the little kids run the bases. And while we watched, we saw this guy get taken down by security. We figured out that he was a) probably drunk and b) not with any of the kids running around with him. It was pretty sweet seeing the guy get pummeled to the ground. Violence for bad behavior can be a good thing? 😆

By the way, I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA. It’s so thin and it takes smashing pictures. Now I just need to figure out what to do with my old digicams. I still love my Minolta, but the other Sony could probably find another home. Hmmm…

A good Saturday win

Chavez is starting to pick it up. I love it. And go Byrnesie! 😀

I took lots of pictures at the Livermore Chili Cookoff, but I’m too tired to share them right now. Suffice to say that my new camera ROCKS! Oh, no chili for me this year. Just a little bit of beer and a hot dog. Hmmm, sounds like my menu for tomorrow. Rich Harden Bobblehead Day here I come!
