Early morning baseball…

Ahhh, the middle of a holiday weekend. Glorious. 😉

I’ve started Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. (Did I get the title right?) I bought the book when it finally came out in paperback, but I’ve only just started it. I think I’ll read the other books again after I’m finished. I really enjoy reading the adventures of Mr. Potter. And really, I just enjoy reading! Sometimes I forget how much I love reading novels…

We finished up the first season of House. Brilliant show! 🙂 We’re all caught up on our television shows and now I can concentrate fully on baseball.

Bah.

sliding down... Oakland 2, Cleveland 6
at Jacobs Field

Winning pitcher – Jake Westbrook (2-7)
Losing pitcher – Seth Etherton (1-1)

SV – Matt Miller (1)

Oakland Runs: 2, Hits: 8, Errors 1
Cleveland Runs: 6, Hits: 6, Errors 0

HR: OAK: CLE: V. Martinez (3)
Oakland Record:(17-32)

I’m trying to keep my chin up and my spirits high, but it’s difficult when the A’s keep finding ways to lose. They’ll do fine on offense but suck with pitching. Or they’ll pitch brilliantly and suck (HARD) on producing runs. Hello, bases loaded and not one baserunner scoring? What’s up with that?!

Well, at least the Cardinals are staying strong. 🙂
