Happy birthday to Sara!
She won’t read this and I’ve already said Happy Birthday to her. She’s eight. 😉 It’s amusing going to a kid party.
On the way home…
We took the very scenic route from Livermore to Salida. Mostly backroads and just a little bit of the freeway. It was kinda cool. I liked it…
Into Saturday morning…

I was “resting my eyes” when Byrnes hit his homerun. Oops! But WOOHOO! 😀 I’m so glad they won…
Game time, 10th inning…
7 May 2004It’s the bottom of the 10th, 1 out, Durazo at the plate with a 3-0 count. Ball FOUR! Two men on base now and Karros is up…
I thought I’d take advantage of our wireless network and write while the game is on.
Ball one to Karros.
It’s been a decent game. A lot of scoring. 😉
Two balls, no strikes… Strike one, 2-1… Fly out. Blah!
Menechino is up with two outs and two on. We just need a base hit… Ball one… Ball two… The bench is anxious. Will Frankie come through?… Ball three… Twins manager out to talk to the homeplate umpire… Strike one, 3-1. Come on Frankie! Bastards, out! Blah…
So off we go to the 11th inning…
And the A’s win! :D
6 May 2004
NY Yankees 4, Oakland 7 at Network Associates Coliseum

SV – Jim Mecir(1)
NYY Runs: 4, Hits: 6, Errors: 0
OAK Runs: 7, Hits: 10, Errors: 0

Woohoo! We were there for most of the game. We left in the bottom of the 7th. Twas a good game! Of course, it didn’t quite start out that way, but Rich Harden settled down after the 2nd inning and worked a bit of magic. And okay, I’m glad Mecir had a good 9th inning. It still scares me when he’s on the mound. 😛
Squandered their lead, my boys did…

I just don’t know what to say. How about I stay kind and not say a thing? Works for me…
I feel loved…
More love to all of those who’ve wished me a happy birthday: Beebs, Michel, Luz, and Neal.
Turning to the dark side?
First it was the awesome iPod.
Now, it’s a PowerBook G4. Yowsa! A wonderful and sleek piece of technology. I like it a lot! At this moment, however, it’s charging up and I’m on my regular PC. I think I’m going to be a multi-OS computer user. 😉 Besides, Blogger looks weird on the PowerBook. 😛

Well, Mulder didn’t get the loss. But rat bastards, they LOST!!! I got to watch the game on tv, even though it wasn’t scheduled to be on tv here in the Central Valley. And I did get to see Mulder pitch. But freakin’ rat bastards, they lost. Ughhhh!
Anyhoo, I’m enjoying my iPod so much. I love it! I just need to see how long the battery actually lasts. 😛

Another day, another year older…
3 May 2004So, I’m 33 today. Ye gods!
Twas HOT today! When I left the house just before 0800 hrs, the sun was warm and the air was cool. By the time the Husband came home, it was simmering outside. Blah!
My first order of business (actually, my only order of business) today was a dentist appointment. Yes, exciting. 😛 I got my teeth cleaned, so it wasn’t so bad. Clean teeth are always a good thing…
Many thanks to those who remembered my birthday! Especially Richard, Lisa, Mom & Dad, Tita Merle, Sheilah, Rachael, Christine, Peggy & Gary, the KiwiKev list, and hopefully I didn’t forget anyone. It’s most lovely being remembered on my birthday.
My birthday surprise? The 15 GB iPod! Omigosh!!! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my husband? Well, I do! I am utterly fascinated with my iPod. It’s just way too groovy! And really rather easy to use. 😀 I’ve already loaded 7.82 GB onto the device. I should probably be pickier with my music selections, eh? Oh well!
One of these days, I shall send kisses to the wonderful people who have commented and tagged here, but right now, I need to work on my Hawaii pictures! 😉
