Happy Memorial Day!
31 May 2004But first, yesterday’s game.
Oakland 3, Cleveland 4 at Jacobs Field
(Sunday’s game)
Winning Pitcher – Rick White (2-0)
Losing Pitcher – Arthur Rhodes (1-3)
OAK Runs: 3, Hits: 10, Errors: 0
CLE Runs: 4, Hits: 13, Errors: 3
Oakland Record: (26-23)
I think it’s HORRIBLE that they lost. Two outs in the ninth inning and Arthur Rhodes BLEW IT. Aaaaack!!!
If the rotation stays the same (and it might not), Mark Mulder will be pitching on Photo Day. What are the freakin’ chances that he would pitch all the Photo Days I’ve gone to? This will be my third Photo Day and if he’s pitching, I’ll know that it’s just not meant to be for me to take his picture on Photo Day. Alas!
Swimming and sunshine…
Yesterday we headed out to Livermore for an afternoon of swimming in sunshine. I think I got a little sunburnt. Dinner was delicious! Filet mignon, baked potato, salad, corn on the cob, sausage. Oh, and for desert we had Boston Cream Pie. Yes, I was quite content later as we watched tv. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a cool show! Hmm, that Ty guy. 😉
And then a weird dream
I had the weirdest freakin’ dream. I dreamt that I went back in time. First I was at a wedding for one of my cousins. I had my “future” memory and for some reason I knew I had my PDA and such with me (which of course I shouldn’t if I truly went back in time). Somewhere along the way, I was in a mall (?) and caught sight of Ryan Gosling! He had also gone back in time, but he didn’t know it and I was trying to tell him. WEIRD!
Timewise, it wasn’t that long ago. I was twenty-six in the dream, but Ryan was older somehow. It was so strange. The dream shifted again and I was somewhere watching TechTV and they were talking about the craziest things.
I can’t remember how the dream ended. And really, I have no idea why I dreamt such crazy things…
And in parting…
I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! Oh, love to the ones who comment:
Wah – Mulder most definitely ROCKS. 😉 And I love taking the tv shots. Sometimes they turn out quite unique. LOL!
Shishi – Yes, the new channel is G4TechTV. I’m hearing some sad things about my TechTV shows. 🙁 I’m not a gamer in any sense of the word, so everytime we check out the new channel, I tune it out unless it’s a TechTV show. Alas! I hope they try to keep the non-gaming shows around. I love The Screen Savers and Call for Help. It gives the viewers a chance to talk and interact. Fresh Gear was a lot more fun when it was Sumi though. It’s changed a lot since I first started watching…
Luz – I still love soulDecision. I think it has something to do with meeting Trevor Guthrie and shaking his hand. LOL!

I had these snacks on Friday. I just kept eating and eating them. They were so good!
Blah my boys!
29 May 2004A long weekend begins…
28 May 2004I didn’t get my postgame email, so that’s all you get on the score of the game. Poor Zito. He pitches well and his boys can’t score. Blah! And then who gives up the game winning homer? Jim Mecir. Aaaaaack!
Sushi with the cousins
Today I drove into the Tri-Valley area. It was like driving to my old work! Except I took a different exit and headed in the opposite direction. Picked up my cousin at the BART station and we headed out to her house. (Rat freakin’ bastards! I just realized that I forgot my bridesmaid dress at her house. I totally suck!!! Ugh!)
Our other cousin soon arrived and we headed out to Sozo’s for some sushi! Yum!!! I took a picture of my sushi. Maybe I’ll share later. 😉
It was nice getting out and having conversations. I really do miss interacting with other people besides the Husband and the dogs. 😉 The sushi was good and the conversation was great. I love going out with my cousins. We need to do it more often. At least every month or something…
Mark Mulder, soulDecision, and whatever comes to mind…

“Cadillac Dress” by soulDecision on my iPod…
soulDecision is currently offering their new single for free as a download on their official site. Go, download! It’s so nice hearing Trevor. Ahhh. 😉 Do not resist the free music! I didn’t. LOL!

A tv shot, hence the quality. Looks a little artsy, eh? 😛
Last day for TechTV
I’m sad. I watched a little bit of Call for Help. It was a repeat (the last new show episode aired last Friday). I felt a bit melancholy seeing Leo there and knowing it would be the last time I would see the set and all of that. Alas.
I am excited about The Screen Savers on June 10th! I haven’t gotten my email confirmation, which worries me just a bit, but since it’s still a couple of weeks away, I’ll set the worry aside. For now.
I will miss TechTV but I have hope that the new network will be just as fun and informative. And perhaps Call for Help will rise again on another network. 🙂
A thrashing, eh?
27 May 2004
Oakland 15, Boston 2 at Fenway Park
Winning Pitcher – Mark Mulder (6-2)
Losing Pitcher – Bronson Arroyo (2-2)
OAK Runs: 15, Hits: 17, Errors: 0
BOS Runs: 2, Hits: 6, Errors: 2
Oakland Record: (26-20)
Well, Mulder didn’t have a complete game, but I think that’s the only downer of today’s game. 😉 15 to freakin’ 2. Ye gods! I ALMOST felt sorry for the Red Sox, but it quickly passed.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
We just finished watching our laser disc of the above movie. Yes, I said laser disc! I love that movie!
Oakland A’s News
27 May 2004Mulder looks to play stopper – A look at tonight’s matchup. Man, I hope the A’s can pull it out tonight and I hope Mulder keeps steady. As he says:
“It’s May. It’s not October. This is less of a big deal to us than it is to everyone talking about it.” — on the importance of this series
Yahoo! News – “Babylon 5” Star Dies
27 May 2004Yahoo! News – “Babylon 5” Star Dies
I actually heard about this early in the week. I think from one of my mailing lists. I am so sad. I remember him on Days of Our Lives and then on Babylon 5.
It never seems right, when someone is taken suddenly like that…
