Yippee for Hudson! 😀

We saw The Day After Tomorrow. Not too bad of a movie. I wanted to see Shrek 2, but must wait until next time. 😉

I’m working on my pictures from yesterday. I’ll probably have them up soon…

The Screen Savers taping was GREAT!!!

10 June 2004

listening to... Barry Zito’s interview on the Ronn Owens show from Wednesday…

I didn’t actually get to talk to Barry Zito. (Don’t I wish!) I sent an email to the radio dude and he read my question on the air and Barry answered my question. Woohoo! 😀 I’m going to try and do a transcript of my question…

I didn’t blog from BART, but I could have! LOL! I’ll write a more detailed report, but here are some highlights:

*** We saw Stephanie from Fresh Gear come out while we were all waiting outside. She had locked her keys in her car. LOL! The tow truck had pulled up and she came out and the tow truck dude got her door opened. 😉

*** Heidi the intern took us to the conference room, then gave us a little tour of one of the studios. It was the one where they do Fresh Gear and where they also did Call for Help. I was a little sad seeing the Call for Help set. Awww…

*** The show was fun! We were a full audience and we rocked! 😉 It all went by so fast. Before it started, I think I saw Kevin point at me because of the shirt. Yah! During a couple of the commercial breaks, Kevin threw a football with a couple of the other guys. Patrick had to powder himself. Sarah is LITTLE! She seemed to move around the most to different parts of the studio.

*** After the show, Patrick came over to us and shook everyone’s hand. He shook my hand, then saw my shirt and said, “Kevin’s going to like that.” LOL! I took a picture with Patrick, of course.

This one turned out nice!

*** I had to say something to Kevin. I asked to take a picture with him and he was very sweet. He thanked me for buying his shirt (I told him it belonged to the husband). He called Dan over to take a picture with us (as he is part of thebroken as well)… Kevin and I chatted a little. He asked where we were from. I told him that I was sad they were leaving the Bay Area. He said he was sad too because they liked it there. They don’t know who’s going to co-host with Kevin for TSS when they move. I think we touched on Leo. He said that most everyone was moving down to LA for the show. What else? He’s a very nice guy. Awww…

Yeah, on the set of The Screen Savers…

It was great fun. And BART wasn’t so bad. 😛 I’m glad we got to go and I’m glad I wore the shirt. 😀

We watched The Screen Savers when we got home and we could pick ourselves out during the very fast sweeps through the audience.

I should have taken a picture of the floor director. Oh well! 😉

Up early for an afternoon in San Francisco

10 June 2004

I’m in Concord again this morning. Today the the taping of The Screen Savers in San Francisco. How exciting! Well, for the tech geek girl in me, anyway. 😉

I’m wearing black t-shirt that proudly proclaims “thebroken” on the front of it. Maybe Kevin or Dan will see it and be impressed. LOL! Think it could get me some play on tv? Yeah, we’ll see. I hope we get a chance to say howdy to all of them. And I would LOVE to take a picture with Patrick, Kevin, or Sarah. Heck, even Dan!

The TiVo is set to record today’s show. This will be the first time I sit in a studio audience. How many people will be there? I hope I don’t clap too loud. I have to remember that it’s not a baseball game. 😀

Speaking of baseball

First-place A’s steamroll Cincy – Mychael Urban is always a good read…

I can’t believe the A’s scored 40 runs for the whole series with the Reds. Crazy! Damian Miller’s grand slam was super sweet! I loved it! And I really enjoyed listening to Eric Chavez talk with the broadcast guys. He has a great voice. Doesn’t say too much though. 😉 He’s supposed to have the big X-ray today. I hope it goes well for him!

And that’s all for now. Next time I blog, I’ll either be on BART (I can send an email with my Blackberry) or I’ll be at home. Until then!

Yesterday’s game…

10 June 2004

And the A's win! Cincinnati 8, Oakland 17 at Network Associates Coliseum (Wednesday)

Winning Pitcher – Rich Harden (3-3)
Losing Pitcher – Jose Acevedo (3-5)

CIN Runs: 8, Hits: 10, Errors: 1
OAK Runs: 17, Hits: 22, Errors: 1

Oakland Record: (34-24)

Insane! Twas great though. We watched the end of the game and then went to sleep. Ahhh, I love it when my boys win…

I’ll probably be in bed before the end of this game…

9 June 2004

‘Tis only the bottom of the 4th and the score is 8-0 Oakland leading the Reds. Oh, Dye just hit a single and it’s now 9-0. Groovy.

Eric Chavez is in the booth. He has a nice voice. It was so cute when Damian Miller hit his home run, a freakin’ beautiful grand slam to left field. Yowsa! Chavez gave a cute holler. 😉

I’m waking up early tomorrow, so I have to go to bed sometime soon. Maybe in an hour or so? Hopefully the A’s stay sharp and on top. 😀

Oh, the bases are loaded for Durazo. Hmmm, think he wants to jack one out? He needs a hit… Ball one in the dirt… Strike one, 1-1 count… Chavez is so cute… Strike two, 1-2… He has a really nice voice… Ball two, 2-2… Fouled, count still 2-2… HIT THE BALL DURAZO!!!… Here’s the pitch, swing and a miss! He’s out, first one of the inning. Blah!

Bobby Crosby is up now. I bet he’d love to slap one out… Ball one! Count is 1-0… Swing and a miss! Count is 1-1… Oh, a shot of the booth! Chavez is in the middle. Oh my, should have been a double play. Instead, it’s 2 outs, 11-0 A’s…

Miller is up, strike one. Two men on base, one of second, the other one third. Ball one, 1-1.. Ball two, 2-1… Pop up, then to first.

Commercials suck.

Okay, signing off! 😀

Thanks for answering my question Barry! :D

9 June 2004

another tv shot from last night…

Yippee, Barry answered my question on the air! My friend was listening and she gave me the rundown. She said that he paused before answering my question and that the first thing he said was “Interesting.” Ha ha! Did I make him think?

Anyhoo, he said that he and Greg became friends on the set of JAG, they spent a lot of time talking, that Greg travels a lot, and that they were supposed to go bowling. And I already knew all of this. LOL! But I thought I’d ask anyway. I should have asked him to say something nice about Greg so that I could add it to my Greg fansite. Yeah, always thinking of stuff after the fact.

Anyhoo, WOOHOO! Zito answered my question. He thought it was interesting. LOL! I should have called and made a total goober of myself on the air. Heck yeah!

Thanks Barry! My day is made. 😀
