I watched this game on tv and I had hope that they would win. GRRRRR!

I’ll blog more tomorrow. We saw The Chronicles of Riddick this evening. 🙂

Another downer of a loss…

Alas. What more can I say?

We had lunch at Claim Jumper’s. I had the produce bar. Yum! And then for dinner we had Tony Roma’s. Yum yum!

My website isn’t working. Again. I’m getting tired of it going down all the time! Blah!

Twas like a Monday, only not

6 July 2004

today in baseball Oakland 0, Boston 11 at Fenway Park

Winning Pitcher – Tim Wakefield (5-5)
Losing Pitcher – Barry Zito (4-6)

OAK Runs: 0, Hits: 4, Errors: 2
BOS Runs: 11, Hits: 17, Errors: 0

Horrible! We listened to some of the game while we were driving home and it was so disheartening. Blah!

Don’t use Yahoo’s RSS feature to sitefeed this blog. For some reason, if you sitefeed Moonlit Jazz, you’ll instead be treated to a weblog belonging to someone named Brad DeLong. I have no idea who he is, but he posts political stuff. It’s annoying that Yahoo can’t get it right. Did they get hacked? Why is it only my weblog that isn’t feeding right? 🙁

I’d send out some love, but I’m sleepy now. Later all!

The Notebook

5 July 2004

I actually woke up to an alarm so that we could go to the first show of The Notebook. Yah for me! LOL!

What can I say about this movie? Another fine performance by Ryan Gosling. It was really very nice and easy watching him in a more “mainstream” role. And Rachel McAdams just shone. The movie was definitely a chick flick. The husband thought it was “cornball,” but I enjoyed it. Perhaps it’s because I’ve read the novel, so I knew the pace of the story. The frame story made me sad, but it was touching. 🙂

I can see why I’m getting so many Ryan emails these days…

Baseball and movies

4 July 2004

And the A's win! Oakland 9, San Francisco 6 at SBC Park

Winning Pitcher – Mark Mulder (11-2)
Losing Pitcher – Jerome Williams (7-6)

OAK Runs: 9, Hits: 13, Errors: 0
SF Runs: 6, Hits: 12, Errors: 0

Oakland Record: (46-34)

Recap of the game: Mulder cool, Byrnes hot in victory

Congratulations to Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder on making this year’s All Star team. Most groovy! 😀

MOVIES!

We watched four movies yesterday, three of them new to us. We’ve got lots of DVDs. LOL!

The Italian Job

I always love watching Mark Wahlberg and we got the bonus of Jason Stratham. I like JS, he’s awesome! Anyhoo, the movie was cool. Love the little minis rolling. LOL! Decent plot, groovy action.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!

I thought this was just the cutest movie! Against my will, I must say that Kate Bosworth is just the cutest thing. I just LOVED Josh Duhamel. Good looking, of course, and just fun to watch. It was a bit sugar coated, especially after watching the gag reel and deleted scenes. And they cut so many of Seah Hayes’ scenes. He’s so FUNNY!!! And I must know, what color are Kate’s eyes? In two scenes, her right eye is hazel/brown and the left eye is blue. Are her eyes different colors or did they forget to put the contacts in those two scenes? It was strange to watch!

50 First Dates

Another good movie. I enjoyed it a lot, especially all the Hawaiian scenery. It actually made me a little sad, but I still liked it. Lots of funny parts, especially with Rob Schneider. He’s a nut! Drew Barrymore was lovely and Adam Sandler was good. I like him in his non-annoying roles. 😉

Office Space

We couldn’t figure out what to watch, so I picked Office Space. I love that movie! I fell asleep near the end. 😛

Hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July! 🙂

A win, always good…

3 July 2004

And the A's win! Oakland 6, San Francisco 2 at SBC Park

Winning Pitcher – Justin Duchscherer (4-1)
Losing Pitcher – Matt Herges (4-3)

OAK Runs: 6, Hits: 13, Errors: 0
SF Runs: 2, Hits: 4, Errors: 2

Oakland Record: (45-34)

I so love it when the A’s win. 😀 Twas fun watching on tv…

A’s Photo Day 2004 and a little rant.

3 July 2004

listening to... “Farewell Party” by Joe Nichols

A’s Photo Day – photos are up! I don’t have as many player photos as I would have liked. Ah well, such is life. 🙂

WEBGAL RANT

You don’t need to read this if you’re a regular reader who understands a fanchick’s perspective and you don’t think I’m a stalker. 🙂

If you do think I’m some kind of stalker, read on.

EMAIL ME or COMMENT where it says PEANUTS if you want to say something weird. DO NOT TAG *my* TAG Board with nonsense. Why are you even here if you think I am stalking someone?

The Mary girl has a friend named Chrystal who also shares her view about me. They both think that my regard for Mark Mulder is out of bounds or something. Hullo, he’s my favorite player. And what’s wrong with having a favorite player? Nothing. I do not care if you don’t like him. And I certainly do not care if you do not like me. But I do ask that you do not comment through the Tag Board if you’re just going to accuse me of being something I am not.

I’m going to guess that these girls are just that, little girls. Why else would they come here and write stupid things? Yes, I think it’s stupid. Brave little girls, if you have something to say, why don’t you just email me with your concerns? Or better yet, why don’t you READ through this weblog and point out every instance that supports your theory? Otherwise, go away, don’t come back. I really don’t understand why you’re here anyway.

End of rant…

LOVE TO MY READERS…

Thanks to all who comment or Tag (yeah, even the weird people who think I’m a stalker).

Chrystal – Sorry I had to delete your Tag. Since it’s nonsense, I just couldn’t keep it up. Gosh, I don’t want people to actually believe such a thing! As far as Mark Mulder is concerned, I think that he’s an excellent pitcher. My husband thinks he’s the best pitcher on the team and I agree. Mulder should start the All-Star game!

Mary – Don’t be scared. I’m not scary. I’ve met scary people though. I know some. You want to see scary people, go to a Xena convention. Those people would horrify you if you’re scared by me. Sorry I had to delete your Tag.

Jenae – You should have said hello at the game! You’re like the second or third person who’s seen me at a game but didn’t say hello. 😉 Next time, give me a howdy.

Wah – I’m hoping to see The Notebook this weekend sometime. I must see Ryan Gosling! I’m glad my hubby doesn’t mind Ryan. He thinks he’s a talented actor. It’ll be nice seeing Ryan in a less disturbing role. (I can handle the slightly stalker-ish behavior.) I’ve seen him as a Neo-Nazi Jew and a killer. A guy in love sounds like a breath of fresh air. LOL!

Olivia – I had a good time at Photo Day. Too bad my A’s lost. And yikes, it was hot! But I was very glad for the Crosby photo. 😉 He’s tall! Or I’m short. LOL Too bad I look goofy in the pic!

Kristine – I wish you and Josiah could have gone to Photo Day! I’m sure Josiah would have gotten a photo with his favorite player Zito. 🙂 Next time!

Val – I keep finding myself napping during games. Or I play on my PowerBook. LOL! I should be watching, even if it’s torture, like the A’s losing. Bah! And why do you have to work on Monday? Isn’t everyone celebrating the 4th on the 5th? (Hey, that sounds funny.)

I should have bought this t-shirt. Wicked cool!
