Mulder is on the mound…

18 July 2004

We’re in the bottom of the 8th and Bobby Crosby is up. One out, one on second. 🙂 So technically, Mulder is not on the mound right now. LOL!

DREAM OF SRJ…

I dreamt of my former workplace. I’ve been having dreams lately of the old grind. In this one, I was back at the desk. It looked bigger, but it was darker. I didn’t have much light there. Lots of work for me though. Such a strange dream!

TOMORROW IS…

My first day of work! Actually, I’ve been going into the office for three weeks or so now. I was supposed to be learning how to do loans, but the processing position opened up and so it goes.

[top of the ninth and Mulder is now on the mound!]

I’m looking forward to learning something new and getting paid!

[Mulder got the first batter out and now Dotel is in the game…]

I’m not looking forward to the five day work week grind. Ahh well, I had a good run of days off. 😉 And I only have to drive one day out of the week, so I shall not complain too much. 😀

[Yeehaw, the A’s win!]

Mulder in the throwback

The boys were in the throwback uniforms today. So bright yellow! So loose. Very groovay. 😉

The doggies got groomed today! Meggie is very fresh and clean. Saffy is sporting a super short cut this time around. She looks so cute!

Saffy wants to lick something!

Another HOT day out here in the Central Valley. Ye gods! I am ever thankful for airconditioning. 😉

A win for Zito!

Woohoo, a win for Barry Zito! He pitched well and his boys gave him some run support. And what more can you want?

Twas freakin’ hot today! We went out for just a little bit (lunch at Chevy’s and then some book browsing at Borders as well as window shopping at CompUSA and Good Guys). I was glad to get home to our air conditioning. 😀

Today was my last Friday of freedom. Next week I start the five day work week grind. Woohoo, I’m going to be getting paid! 😀 I’m looking forward to learning something new.

Walelia.com is two years old! Groovy cool!

Yeehaw, a win to begin the second half of the season!  And good for Rich Harden.  😀

We thought about going to the game today, but we went home early instead.  The game wasn’t on tv, unfortunately.  So I’ve been playing on the computer most of the time we’ve been home.  Now my eyes are tired.  😛

After All Star stuff

14 July 2004

Action shot from yesterday…

‘Run hog’ Mulder gets win for AL – Yeah, I’m all about the baseball right now. 😉 And it’s nice to see a Mulder article after last night’s game. So there you go…

Rocket Rocked – And an article about the loser…

Great night for All-Star Mulder – And more about Mulder…

Win to the AL!

13 July 2004

American League 9, National League 4 at Minute Maid Park

Winning Pitcher – Mark Mulder (1-0)
Losing Pitcher – Roger Clemens (0-1)

AL Runs: 9, Hits: 14, Errors: 0
NL Runs: 4, Hits: 9, Errors: 1

We got home in plenty of time to watch this game. There was so much freakin’ hype about Roger Clemens before the game and I was sick of it by the time he threw the first pitch. And I was mighty DELIGHTED when the AL struck for SIX runs in that first inning. Mulder even got to bat! Of course, he didn’t swing it and he ended up being the last out of the first. Yes, he batted in the first inning. Twas glorious!

TV shot of Mulder pitching in the bottom of the 2nd

I tuned out after the third inning or so. I think in the fifth inning they had some kind of ceremony for Clemens. He predicted that the NL would climb back and win the game. See where wishful thinking gets you sometimes?

Mulder was interviewed once during the game, but nothing after that. I was disappointed. Even at the end, Clemens still got some tv time but nothing mentioned about Mulder aka the winning pitcher. Think FOX was a little slanted in their coverage or what? NL this, Clemens that. Who freakin’ cares?!

another TV shot of Mulder getting interviewed during the game

Like my TV shots? LOL! Maybe someday I’ll do proper screencaptures of my baseball fellas. Maybe.

Oh, and CONGRATS TO THE AMERICAN LEAGUE! I can’t believe I was cheering for Yankees and Red Sox and Rangers. Ah well, such is life. 😉

And one more…

Happy Tuesday!

Another nice one of Mulder from yesterday…

Yes, I’m up EARLY! Too bad I don’t have my website stuff with me. I could have updated my Greg page with some news. 😉 We’re up early and at work because we want to be home in time for the All Star Game. Mulder is starting! Woohoo! I hope the game progresses enough for him to go up to bat. Now that would be a sight. 😀

I burned two CD mixes last night, one country and the other rock/alternative. iTunes is just much to easy for all that kind of stuff. Ye gods! 😉

I hope I have enough energy to watch the All Star Game tonight. LOL!

G4techTV Canada Brings Leo Back – It’s NOT FAIR!!! Why can’t I get G4tecTV Canada?! Right, I don’t care if I’m not Canadian. I want to watch Call for Help.

Rats.
