TV shots of yesterday’s game

24 July 2004

I know it’s a little odd, but I’m just to lazy to do real screencaptures. So I put my digital camera to use and kept myself occupied during the game. 😉

Mulder at the top of the third, one out and one on…

Mark did well throughout the beginning of the game. Even though he gave up those two runs in the 3rd, he managed to stay strong.

Bobby!

I don’t know what it is, I love just saying Bobby when Crosby is at the plate. He can look tough when he wants, eh?

Byrnesy!

This was after Byrnes hit his two run homer to tie the game. Twas niiiice.

Zito.

Sucky picture. But what do you expect from a tv shot? 😉

The Chavez Babooshkah

I must confess, I want one of these. But I don’t want it enough to stand in the sweltering sun a couple of hours before game time. I’ll try and get one at the next cards & collectibles show we attend. 😉 Or I can do the eBay thing. LOL!

Facing loss number three of the year…

I do hope the boys do better today. They’re not on tv for us. 🙁 Oh well!

Bummer! 🙁

Twas a weird day at work. Most of the office went to the Giants/Padres game. I did have a few things to do, so I guess that’s good. 😛

Tomorrow is Friday! Groovay!

Oh, and my happy meal toy from yesterday was a Barbie. Maybe I should have asked for the boy toy. LOL!

Top of the 10th

21 July 2004

Hatteberg just bunted. Lovely.

Yes, so it’s the bottom of the tenth. I suppose I’ll be up until the game is over. It’s 5-5, A’s visiting the Seattle Mariners.

First drive alone

So I drove to work for the first time. (The husband drives us to work, but he was sick today.) I took longer, of course. But I seemed to get the slow traffic! Same thing going home. Blah!

[Kielty hit into a double play to the 3rd baseman. Grrr!]

Work was fine. I’m learning more and more. It’s a good thing. 🙂 For my lunch hour, I hit the mall and had a happy meal. 😛

I’m sleepy!

A win for the bullpen

And the A's win!Toronto 0, Oakland 1 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Justin Lehr (1-1)
Losing Pitcher – Justin Speier (4-6)

Oakland Record: (51-41)

Where is my postgame alert?!

Second day…

Another hot day outside. Ye gods! Work was groovy. I’m in the watching and doing some stuff stage. It’s cool. I like my supervisor. She’s groovy. 😉 Hopefully very soon I know enough to do things on my own. Until then, I’m in the absorbing state…

My “first” day, bottom of the 9th

19 July 2004

listening to... “Why Do Fools” by Pinay

The A’s are in the bottom of the ninth as I write. Shoot, maybe the game is over. I’m “watching” MLB’s Gameday. 😛

Yes, it was my “first” day at work. It’s actually my first day in the processing office. Yeehaw, paperwork! The day went by pretty fast. I got to call a couple of people. As long as I have an idea of what I have to say, I can call people. But sometimes I get a little freaked out. Oh well, it’ll pass as time goes by and I learn more stuff. Right?

[Two outs, one on, Kotsay up to bat.]

My Ryan site is revamped! I was so tired by the end of it last night. I like it and now I want to add to it. I added a new counter yesterday and it’s already over 1,000 hits. INSANE! All those Ryan fans. I love most of you, especially when you realize I AM NOT RYAN GOSLING! 😀

[Kotsay singled! Miller to second, Kotsay to first. Wow, are they trying to rally or what? Score, Toronto up 5-3.]

Anyhoo, I’ve been getting LOTS of Ryan oriented emails. I’ve made friends with a couple of them, most notably Marni in Manitoba. 😀 She’s super cool and we’re having great conversations via email. And then there’s Jenny who offered to help me with the site. Of course, she makes me feel a little old. She was born in freakin’ 1988! Hullo, I graduated high school in 1989. So that means, I’m old enough to be her young mother. YIKES!

I am getting sleepy and I want this game to end. But I want it to end with a win for my boys. Aaaack!

What else can I talk about?

Oh, Gmail rocks! I love getting emails to my Gmail accounts. Right, I have more than one. I couldn’t help it. My Ryan website email addy is a Gmail account. And someday, I might change the email addy to this weblog. I’m still undecided.

[Bastards, game over. GRRRR! I wonder how long before I get the postgame alert…]

today in baseball Toronto 5, Oakland 3 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Josh Towers (4-3)
Losing Pitcher – Kirk Saarloos (1-1)
SV – Jason Frasor (10)

HR: Tor: Wells (10), Delgado (11). HR: Durazo (12).

Oakland Record: (50-41)

BLAH! Hopefully I did that right. 😛

Well, now I can go to sleep.

Sweet dreams…

Win for Mulder! :)

18 July 2004

And the A's win!Chi White Sox 3, Oakland 5 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Mark Mulder (13-2)
Losing Pitcher – Esteban Loaiza (8-5)
SV – Octavio Dotel (19)

HR: CWS: J. Valentin (19), A. Rowand (11). OAK: B. Crosby (12).
Oakland Record: (50-40)

I am always a happy camper when Mulder wins. Yes, I’m easy like that. 😉

I’m actually in the middle of revamping my Ryan Gosling site. Geez, what a task! The problem, of course, is that I moved the site to walelia.com, so now some of the links aren’t right. Plus I wanted to change the layout. I’m having fun, but it’s a little tedious. Blah!

Okay, time for dinner! And one more Mulder pic to close out the post…

I’m addicted to the tv shots. LOL!
