Buggers! The boys drop back to second place, their winning streak snapped. Alas!
We left work today and decided to hang out in the Tri-Valley area. (Do they really call the Dublin-Pleasanton-Livermore area the “Tri-Valley?”) We stopped by Tower Records, which lead to my purchase of Jamie Cullum’s CD. I’m a sucker for singer who play the piano. He sounds good and the CD was cheap. 😉
On the drive back home, the full moon was rising in the darkening sky. So beautiful…
A win for the bullpen!

We were on our way home when this game started and it was just in the 4th inning when we got home. Groovay! 🙂
One of these days, I’m going to have to send some love out to those who comment. But you all already know I love it when you comment, eh?
Time for bed!

Mulder on the mound
I “watched” this one online. I was quite happy when I saw the hit by Kotsay. Woohoo! 😀
Slightly non-baseball ramblings…
Work has been all right. I’m learning something new everyday! And that’s a good thing. LOL!
The people next door are making noise at night when we’re trying to go to sleep. We go to sleep at about 2230 or 2300 hrs and we can hear the neighbors in their hot tub splashing around and playing music. And they’re not just talking in their hot tub. Yeah. Ewww!
On the way to work, we’ve seen the same slow ass Avenger on the road. I should take a picture next time we see her. She goes slow! And it’s a one lane road, so we can only pass when it’s the dash lines. Insane. Sometimes it sucks going the back way, though most of the time I think it’s just lovely out there. If only people would go the freakin’ speed limit. 😛
“Omigosh, I love you Ryan!!!”
I get an email regarding Ryan Gosling almost everyday. It’s a little crazy. I like the ones who have actually read through my site and mention things that they have seen. It makes me feel as though I still have a reason to have my Ryan site.
Besides meeting some lovely people, I also get emails that just amuse me. Like the one that wanted Ryan for her prom date. Or the ones who actually think that I’m Ryan. Ye gods. LOL! I’m thinking of composing an open letter to Ryan and posting it on my Ryan site. He might read it. Maybe. 😉
Back to baseball…
I think I forgot to say WOOHOO MULDER!!! I love it when he wins. And it’s great when he goes all the way. Yes indeed…
Right now the St. Louis Cardinals are giving up runs to the Cincinnati Reds. It’s 11-10, Cardinals. The Reds just got their last out of the 8th. Now to the top of the 9th.
Did I mention we’re going to the Giants/Cardinals game this Saturday? I’m excited! Baseball at the beautiful park they now stupidly call SBC. Blah. But I love that ballpark. As long as the opposing team is one I like. 😉
A “W” for Redman
27 July 2004
“In Light of You” by Althea Rene
Seattle 3, Oakland 5 at Networks Associates Coliseum
Winning Pitcher – Mark Redman (7-8)
Losing Pitcher – Ryan Franklin (3-9)
SV – Octavio Dotel
HR: Oak: Crosby (15), Chavez (17). HR: Sea: Leone (4).
Oakland Record: (55-44)
I’m always glad when I can watch my A’s on TV. And they won! Woohoo!
Tomorrow is Root Beer Float Day at the Coliseum. The Rocket Scientist aka Dave Johnson from Survivor is going to be there again! But alas, I’m not going. Oh well!
Finally, Zito wins!
26 July 2004A win for Harden
25 July 2004
Texas 2, Oakland 9 at Network Associates Coliseum
Winning Pitcher – Rich Harden (5-5)
Losing Pitcher – John Wasdin (1-2)
HR: Oak: Chavez (16), Byrnes (13), Kotsay (8), Durazo (13). HR: Tex: Young, M (13).
Oakland Record: (53-44)
Kotsay had a great day on the field and at the plate. Niiice! 🙂
During the game, we watched a little bit of the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. I couldn’t help it, I cried a little while Dennis Eckersley gave his speech. I was remembering my first days of watching baseball while I listened to Eck. Awww…
KING ARTHUR
I enjoyed this movie. Clive Owen is way cool. Keira Knightley didn’t really say much in the film. 😛 But it was a good movie. Much better than I expected…
Baseball
And right now, I’m actually watching the Yankees/Red Sox game on ESPN. It’s in HD and after yesterday’s drama, it could be interesting. 😉 So far, it’s the top of the 1st and the Yankees are up 1-0. Blah!
Yeehaw, a win!
24 July 2004
Texas 2, Oakland 6 at Network Associates Coliseum
Winning Pitcher – Kirk Saarloos (2-1)
Losing Pitcher – R.A. Dickey (5-7)
HR: Oak: Kotsay 2 (7), Chavez (15). HR: Tex: Teixeira (23).
Oakland Record: (52-44)
Of course, it’s not on tv and I had to “watch it” online. Oh well.
I miss watching Dark Angel
We watched a bunch of Dark Angel episodes today. We got to the “Zack” episodes. 😉 It’s interesting seeing the shows again, knowing how it will end. Suddenly the villians don’t seem as evil as they did the first time.
