Hearing from a friend…

Just the other day I was thinking of a friend and today I got an email! Isn’t that weird? I was wondering what was going on in his part of the world and even though he didn’t tell me in the email (I’m promised more later), just hearing from him brought a smile to my face. Hopefully he has the time to email me again. It’s always lovely hearing from him…

So, the American League won. And my predicated player got MVP. Glorious! Congrats to Miguel Tejada!… Alas, Justin Duchscherer didn’t play. Sadness. 🙁 He was the only Athletic there and he didn’t get to step on the mound. BUMMER.

And there’s still one more day of no baseball? Ye gods!

Got a new toy today. More on that one later.

Maybe. 😉

so hot outside

The LOVELY banner on top is courtesy of the wonderful one called Wah. Muchas gracias!!! It’s so perfect, isn’t it? It goes so well with this blog. 😀

According to weather.com, the temperature here is 27°C , which is 82°F!!! It’s freakin’ after dark and it’s still in the 80s? Ye gods! The air conditioner is crankin’ hard. Yikes.

We watched the Home Run Derby on ESPN-HD. Rockin’! HD is the way to go. If you can get it, get it! 😉

Okay, my eyes are heavy. Time for bed!

At the break

One over .500 at the break! Oakland 9, Chi. White Sox 8

Woohoo, a win before the break! And oh, a SWEEP of the Chicago White Sox. It wasn’t exactly pretty, but a win in the end. 😉 Love it!

And now it’s the All Star Break. Bah. Three days without baseball. Well, “real” baseball. Last year I watched the All Star Game, but I dunno about this year. We shall see…

New layout!

A different layout. I wanted something wider. 😆 I still love the banner Wah made for me, so I intergrated into the header up there. I think it looks all right. 😉 I just can’t do without Mark Mulder, eh? Or green!

Like or no?

Next up, trying to figure out how to add my little photo stuff. 😉

EDIT: I figured it out! Spiffy sweet!

Feel the love

Emma! “You Are” – Emma Bunton

HR: OAK: E. Chavez (12) M. Kotsay (7) CWS:

Yeehaw, the A’s won! 😀 I love love love when they win. Even better is that they are once again at .500. Groovay!

Someone totally cool (and anonymous) dropped a link at my Ryan site for a WMA file of Ryan and his co-star from The Notebook accepting their Best Kiss award at the MTV Movie Awards. If you didn’t catch it and your computer can handle a HUGE download, click here. HOTNESS, especially if you’re a Ryan fan.

And I was checking my email and I got an update for Kevin Rose‘s Textamerica site. Because I’m a total geek, I posted a comments to his images. And I’m the first one for a couple of them. Such is me. They’re probably thinking I have no life or something. 😆 Of course, he doesn’t actually know anyone is commenting, right? Unless he gets emails sent to his phone. Bah! Okay, I’ll stop being a stalker and not comment. Even if he does post another picture. 😛
