MY LAST TUESDAY AT WORK…
23 March 2004
“Real Good Man” by Tim McGraw
It was a decent Tuesday, this last Tuesday at work. It was busier than yesterday, but I was still finished in a timely manner. 😉
Dinner time was chicken over pasta. I saw DB and took a picture with him. 😉 I also saw KV, but he said that he’d be working more this week, so we didn’t say our goodbyes quite yet.
Before I left work, I took a picture with RB. He’s such a sweet guy!
By the end of the week, I should have pictures to show off. I think I’ll be sad when I’m going through them. Alas, alas!
BASEBALL
A’s 7, Royals 5 – Barry Zito pitched five scoreless innings and Eric Chavez hit his fourth homer of spring training. 😀
Mulder, RAZOR hosting MLB bash – I’m trying to picture it, Mulder hosting a party. 😉 I wonder what his duties shall be. 😀
MY LAST MONDAY AT WORK…
22 March 2004I haven’t had such an easy Monday in a LONG time. All the courts came back in a very timely manner and I was finished with my work at about 2000 hrs. So I had an hour and a half to kill! I took a break, filed some files, and chatted a bit. It was a good day.
We were short staffed for a Monday, so it was a good thing that we weren’t too busy. Well, I’m sure the booking person would beg to differ. 😉 I hope the rest of the week goes as smoothly.
I want to take pictures with my co-workers this week. I told RB I wanted a picture with him tomorrow and he gave me such a sweet smile. I wish I could have gotten to know him more. He seems like such a sweet guy. Oh well!
And I hope my most favorite guy makes an appearance this week. I want another picture with him! (I’ve got a couple already, but none this year.) I also need to take pictures with the ladies at work. Maybe I’ll walk around and take candids. 😉 “I want to remember you just like this,” I could say. LOL!
I can’t believe I have just four days left of work. WOW!
BASEBALL
A’s 0, Cubs 1 – A Mulder/Maddux match-up. Quick game, just 1 hour and 56 minutes. Mulder had an excellent outing– four shutout innings, two hits, five strikeouts, one walk. Woohoo Mulder! 😀
NOW JUST FIVE DAYS OF SMURFY BLUES
21 March 2004
“I’m Beginning to See the Light” by Ella Fitzgerald
I’ve got a little dog on my lap. 😉

Tomorrow will be my final Monday at work. Each day this week will be the final of its kind. This is my last week at work.
I’M SCARED!
Well, not really. I just feel apprehensive. Most of me is VERY GLAD to be leaving. Such freedom! No more to don the smurfy blues, no more to smell the nasty halls, no more to endure the constant stupidity. But the reflective part of me wants to remember the fun times, the good people, the interesting stories. So many interesting stories.
I don’t think I’ll forget too soon the routine of my days. But I think I should write it all down anyway. I have this way of letting details slip by.
I’m going to be taking lots of pictures this week. It’ll probably make people sick of me. LOL! Oh well, I’ll be gone soon enough…
A’s 8, Giants 6
21 March 2004Go A’s! 😀
New A’s commercials – Okay, I’ve only watched the Mulder ones so far, but they are so cute! LOL!… Wait, I just watched all of them. They are all so cute! 😀
Ahhh, A SUNNY SUNDAY…
21 March 2004
“You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLBY! – One of the guys at work. It’s it’s birthday today. I think I’ve seen him once this past year. Ah well. 😉 Just had to throw out the sentiment. 😀

After all that shoe shopping yesterday, I feel like hitting the mall again for some clothes. Horrible! I’m actually in a shopping mood. I’m never in a shopping mood. LOL!
The A’s and Giants play in about fifteen minutes. I wish they were on tv! They aren’t on tv, are they? 😛
NEW LAYOUT!!!
20 March 2004
“I See Your Face Before Me” by Frank Sinatra
Something BLUE, eh? 😉 I think I might miss the polyester blues and so here’s a layout with shades of blue. And the handsome fellow featured is WILLIAM GREGORY LEE, one of my most favorite fellows. I wanted to do something with the new headshots I got, so here they are. 😀
I ALMOST went ahead and did a Mulder layout, but I think I’ll save him for when the season starts. Or my birthday. Or after Hawaii. LOL! I want to have this layout up for at least a month. 😉
And let me take the time to thank ::celeste:: for the two most lovely layouts she did for Moonlit Jazz. I LOVED THEM! Everyone should go and visit her because her webdesign skills are awesome! 😀
I hope the layout looks all right for everyone. Any problems, let me know!
[edit]
Of course, for some reason I can’t FTP to this domain. It’s always freakin’ something!!!
By the time you read this, all will be fixed. I hope.
And while I’m at it…
BASEBALL
A little split squad action.
A’s 9, Cubs 8 – Rich Harden went 3 1/3 innings, allowing five earned runs. He gave up six hits, two walks and a home run. Ouch!
A’s 5, Rockies 3 – Eric Byrnes hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd. Groovay for him! 😀
MY SATURDAY AFTERNOON
I drove to Stoneridge Mall (in Pleasanton) for some lunch and shoe shopping with my friend the bride and her friend the maid of honor. (I’m the bridesmaid.) We had salads at Sweet River, then trudged through the mall in search of the perfect shoes for the upcoming wedding.
Our dresses are a Hawaiian print of blue and white (mostly blue), so we wanted something comfortable and white for the shoes. We ended up at Payless Shoe Source. They were having a fantastic sale (buy one, get the second one half off) at the store. We found two shoes that we liked and decided to get both! One for the ceremony and one for the reception. The shoes for the reception are nice and comfy. 😀 And just too cute!
A’s 8, Angels 5
19 March 2004I love putting up a winning score. 😉
COUNTDOWN TO FREEDOM
Just FIVE days more of the polyester blues.
It’s really starting to hit me now. I am going to leave this place. OHMYGOODNESS!!! I feel a strange panic. Why am I leaving? It’s time. But what will I do? Something better.
I am going to miss a lot about that place. I love the job I do. I love the challenge of it. I like the repetition. I don’t like the idiocy, but what can you do?
I am going to miss the people SO MUCH. I saw my most favorite guy tonight and asked him if he was going to miss me. He hadn’t heard, I guess, about me leaving and he kept asking WHY. In the end, he gave me the biggest hug. I felt sad! I’m going to miss him most. I need to tell him that.
And I will miss my dinner mates, Debbie and Vickie. I plan on keeping in touch with them though, so hopefully we are in each other’s lives just the same. I will miss Kristine. I took the Desk from her. She taught me well. We talk about Hollywood and baseball and I will miss those conversations while I’m pulling files. But I will definitely keep in touch with her too.
Next week is going to be difficult, I think. I can see myself storing up the sensation of being there. The files, the phones, the crappy computer, the staples, the post-its, the stale air in the office, the nasty smell in the halls.

This time next week, my locker will be empty…
