“The Season for Romance” by Lee Ann Womack
(ahhh, Christmas music…)
I get so sleepy on the way to work. It’s a drive of one and one half hours. Ye gods! Good thing I’m not the one driving. 😛
I turned on my iTunes at work and proceeded to add four CDs worth of Christmas music to my hard drive. LOL! I burned 4 CDs last year of Xmas songs. Craziness! But I love the stuff. And I always think that I won’t buy another Christmas CD, but every year another one comes out that MUST buy. This year I bought the Chris Isaak CD at iTunes. LOL! Last year it was Harry, the year before was Lee Ann Womack (because Harry appears on the CD). I can’t remember before that. 😛
soulDecision. Buy it.
Cock that trigger…
5 December 2004I read a bunch of short stories yesterday and today. They were holiday tinged and not your usual Harlequin type situations. More modern. 😉
Reading always inspires me to write, but when I finally sit in front of the computer or sit with a notebook in hand, my muse flees from me. I so hate that. Alas…
This time of year also inspires holiday romance stories in my head. I love to read them and I love starting to write them. I can almost remember one that I started when I was a teenager. Two people meet at a family party where they have a mutual cousin. Sounds a little goofy, but it could have worked. 😛
And because I cannot go without mentioning soulDecision (buy their CD!!!), I must note that I scanned the CD notes for my own evil purpose. I was thinking of changing the top banner. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next weekend. Until then, ponder this…

“Hypnotize” by soulDecision
I’m addicted to soulDecision. Again. Was it this bad four years ago? And ye gods, it was FOUR years ago?!
The look on your face touch’n tongue to your lips
Pressed against your body puts the move in my hip
You remind me of a far off and foreign land
Wanna swim your ocean feel my feet in your sand…

Davenport musings…
I don’t know if I realized this when I started the story last month, but Colby Davenport was another character in a different story I started months ago. Actually, he was the same character, but the girl was a different person! I’m not sure which one I like better. LOL! I was thinking of writing something today, but I wanted to continue with a story I had already started and there was the other Colby Davenport story! Strange.
Maybe he’s haunting me. LOL!

Meggie looking shiny!

“It Must Be You” by soulDecision
I can’t think of anything original for a title post. Ah well.
I got a long email from an old friend of mine. It was nice to hear from him. I guess his email got lost and I never got it, so he resent it to me. And I actually replied the same day! Ye gods. LOL!
Canadian soulDecision fans!!!
Go buy the latest sD CD now! It’s out. You’re all so lucky they’re doing shows up there. I’m hoping they come to my little Valley corner of the universe. Chances of that?
Ohhhh, check out Michel’s photos from the show on the 25th. Very nice…
Next year, I’ll be prepared…
My Davenport story went NOWHERE! I’m not even sure I want to work on it after today. It was fun trying to write it in the beginning, but having no plan totally backfired on me. Lessons learned.
I keep dreaming of SRJ
I can’t really miss working at a jail, right? Fine then, I miss the people I worked with. A very few of the people I worked with. And yet I still think of that godforsaken place…
Go shopping late…

“Light It Up” by soulDecision
I spent much of Friday and half of Saturday working on a revamp of my Greg site. And now it’s done! I LOVE doing the photo gallery with Coppermine. It ROCKS! LOL!
We went shopping late Saturday. Like 7pm late. It’s a good time to go to the mall. Late. Not a lot of people. I bought some a sweater at one place and then a bunch of clothes at another. Loved it! Now I just need to get some shoes. Something for work. And maybe some pants.
soulDecision ROCKS!!!
I am in SUCH a soulDecision mood. I did the goofy fangirl thing and emailed Trevor the other day. I’ve been checking out the chats, but I always sound like a dork there, so I just wanted to say something semi-coherent to him and writing an email requires more thought than chat stuff. (The chats just fly by! All the people just talking at once. It’s nuts!)
Anyhoo, I got a reply yesterday from Trevor! (He’s seriously faster than I am sometimes in replying to emails. Ye gods!) Totally cool. He remembers me from the chat. He said that my screen name, walelia, reminds him of Hawaii. And I’m a total dork and replied back. Wonder if I’ll get another reply.
I feel better when I listen to their music. Slightly obsessed, am I? It’s because I don’t have any baseball to balance me. I need my baseball!!!
::sigh::
DVDs can bring surprises…
Back to the shopping. After the mall, we went to Best Buy and we walked out with one thing: The Ray Bradbury Theatre DVD set. Omigosh, the Erik Thomson episode, “By the Numbers,” is part of the set! I had to get it. And after watching the enjoyable Hidalgo (ahhh, Viggo), I had to watch “By the Numbers.” Groovay…
Baseball stuff…
So, we’ve got a new catcher. Interesting. What else will this off season hold?
Have a good Thursday?

(Does anyone else see a pattern here?)

The Turkey!!!… holiday coca cola… the table set… the after dinner game…
Thanksgiving was nicely spent. Dinner was DELICIOUS, as usual. I wish I could have eaten more! It was so good. And Mad Gab was fun. I’m not usually a games person, but this one was fun. 😀

Hey, the only doggy-less picture is the one with me!
I wore a new shirt. Now I want to go shopping for more. LOL! But I am not crazy enough to go shopping today. Ye gods! No, it’s a lazy day today. Maybe. I should write! My poor Davenport story. Alas…

Lucy, Gizmo, a squirrel in the backyard, Nicky…
I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, if you’re off today. 😉
Happy Thanksgiving!

“Light It Up” by soulDecision

My new soulDecision CD autographed by Trevor, Ken, Tino, and Terepai…
I am in such a soulDecision mood. It’s like that time about six years ago when I had to listen to Carlos Ponce everyday. So weird! Maybe one of these days I’ll do a rundown of the songs. LOL! Hey, that would be something to do…
To my fellow Americans, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you’re all having a great day on this day of giving thanks. Count your blessings. If you can actually read this, then you’re in a good place, eh?

From our day trip to San Francisco last Sunday… The Auto Show!!!
