A windy day in spring…

“It Must Be You” – soulDecision

Chavez and Crosby…
Nice shot, eh? I can’t wait until the season starts. I just don’t feel prepared for it though. I keep thinking back on Mulder and Hudson. I’ll face forward once the first pitch of 2005 drops in for a strike. Until then, I’m still missing my boys.
I like my phone very much, but the sucky battery life is going to get on my nerves! I also wish that I had that “push” mail thing going on. I think my battery is definitely sucked by the constant checking of mail. Bah!
More CSI tv shots from the ep “Compulsion” for your viewing pleasure:

Twas a good Nicky Stokes episode…

First shot is the end shot… Greg (Eric Szmanda) doing his thing… Walter (Wil Wheaton in a small but well done role) the homeless guy… Warrick (Gary Dourdan), the ultra cool dude…
Happy Easter!

“Maybe” – Emma Bunton

Rich Harden on his way to an 8 strikeouts game…
I’ve started reading Aces and as much as I want to take it slow and savor it, I also want to rush through it and finish it before the season starts. I’m almost halfway through and I’m enjoying it a lot so far. Mychael Urban really does ROCK! Maybe I’m just biased because the book is about my favorite fellas on my favorite team. I’m just afraid that all my Mulder perceptions will be shattered. Sometimes the mystery is more intriguing. Sometimes you don’t want to know too much and have it cloud your future impressions.
In previous years, I’ve spent Easter at my parents’ house, enjoying delicious food and the company of family. This year my parents are re-modeling rooms in their house, so no Easter party. Alas! And here’s revelation: nothing is open on Easter! Bah! Just a few choice places. But no shopping. 😛 And the food situation almost makes me wish that I cook! LOL!
And because I’m in a CSI mood…

Ahhh, springtime…
26 March 2005I love springtime. So very much…
Online shopping rules!
My Mulder jersey has yet to arive. I’m waiting patiently. Truly! But it is to be personalized, so I suppose I can’t complain too much. I’m hoping that I get it before the season starts.
I also ordered some stuff from Amazon and the box was at the front door when we came home today! 😀

Aces by Mychael Urban
I’ve been looking forward to reading this book. I had funny little dreams about getting the guys to sign it at some time. And of course Mr. Mychael Urban. He’s a rockin’ writer. I love his articles! But alas, I’ll have to be super diligent if I want to get all the guys to sign it. 😛 And man, I wish I had said something to Mychael when I had a chance (he was so close!). Next time!
Also in the Amazon box was Monte Walsh, a (gulp) Tom Selleck western. No, I did not buy it because of Mr. Tom Selleck! I bought it because my favorite CSI plays a cowboy in it. Yah! 😀 And I think we all know who I’m talking about. 😛
Ahh yes, we got new mobile phones this week! Exciting stuff.

The Sony Ericsson 910a, starring Saffy the dog…
We have matching phones. I have a new phone number and this one is set to stay for a long time. I’m sure my family and friends will think me nuts for changing numbers in less than a year. (Ever since my Sprint phone four years ago, I’ve probably had 4 mobile numbers besides my current one.) The phone itself is pretty cool. It’s a PDA, MP3 player, camera phone thing. All kinds of stuff! But I’ll probably still carry my PDA. 😛
Today we visited my parents. They are in the middle of re-modeling parts of their house. The new kitchen is so cool! It looks so different! I can’t wait to see when all the new stuff is in. The bathrooms are next. One of them is already almost done. I think it’s cool my parents are re-doing their house. 😀
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. And HAPPY EASTER to you all! 🙂
The moon above is full if you can see it…
23 March 2005A Pitcher’s Pictures – Saw this link at Wah‘s site (in the comments). Zito takes good pictures. Although I found the Kielty ones a bit disturbing. Oh, and the Byrnesy one. 😛 Yah.
I can’t find any new Mulder shots, so how about the Bobby Crosby? 😉

moving for the ball…

Bobby in action!…
I’m enjoying my new eyes. Sometimes I forget that I don’t have glasses on and I try to take them off. LOL!
Ahhh, Young Hercules is on right now. Good times, good times. 😀 Ryan, Chris, and Dean. Their days together were too few. Alas. 😛
Sunday rain
20 March 2005I wish I could be at spring training. Next year, I want to spend a week or so in Phoenix and check out the games. 😀

Rain fell hard today but when we went out to get some food, the sun was shining and the rain was falling. Two rainbows arched in the distance…
Last night I ordered my Cardinals jersey. What’s come over me?! Maybe I should just say I ordered my new Mulder jersey. 😀
A rainy Saturday…

Toweling off….
My day after appointment was short. The doctor changed one of my prescriptions. I have to do one of my eyedrops every hour. Bah! But only until Monday. Hopefully I can just do the every four hours thing after that day. 😛 My eyesight is improving, but definitely still fluctuating. I could drive if I had to. 😉
We had lunch, then hit the mall after my appointment. (It took us too long to get back to the Central Valley. Why can’t people drive in the rain?!) I bought two pairs of sunglasses! One Ray Ban and the other Bolle. Stylin’. 😉 I should take pictures of them. LOL! I also got two t-shirts, one A’s and one Cardinals. Zito on one, Pujols on the other.
Too bad my first days of seeing with new eyes are rainy days. Ah well!
New eyes!
19 March 2005But first, the entry that didn’t make it:
Last entry before lasik
I’m off to the eye doctor in less than 15 minutes, so this will be my
last entry before Lasik. Wish me luck!
Why must it rain though? I have to walk across the street and I’d
prefer to be dry when I get there. Alas.
Oh yes, Happy Friday!
And back to today…
I tried emailing that entry above but alas, it didn’t make it!
I can see without my glasses! But it’s still a little cloudy/hazy. But I can see! I’m told to use the artificial tears constantly. And so I will. 😉
The worse part about the surgery was the WAITING. I got there at 12:30pm, as directed. Sat around, got checked in, sat around, got prepped for surgery (along with five other people), sat around, got prepped by the surgeon, sat around. In the last bit of sitting around, I wondered who would be first as I watched the nurses prepare the room (the walls are glass, so you can watch someone getting their lasik done if they’re on the closest table). I ended up first! And I ended up on the table closest to the glass walls. So yes, people were watching me get my eyes lasered. 😛
I remember “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson playing as I waited for the doctor, but I don’t remember the song after. One of the other patients was brought in as I waited and he was prepped as well. But I was first.
Twas a WEIRD sensation, but the procedure didn’t hurt. When the laser started, I smelled a strange smell and I wondered if it was the laser on my eye. 😛 My left eye was done first, then my right. The right one was more uncomfortable for some reason, but not unbearable.
All in all, it was perhaps ten minutes. When I walked back into the waiting room, someone marveled at how fast it was. When you’re on the table, it doesn’t feel fast. Even with the nurse counting down the seconds. But then again, it didn’t feel like an eternity either.
I couldn’t do anything after the surger. No tv, no computer, no reading, no video games. So I slept a lot and “listened” to the tv. Okay, I glanced over a couple of times. But I never got on the computer. 😛
Now I get to see what it’s like to take a shower with the new eyes…
