A long day…

28 May 2005

We got up early today to help the sister-in-law move. I vote for movers next time! 😉

Oh yes, and then there was baseball…

Yes, a nice and solid victory. And the journeyman pitcher gets his first win for the A’s! Woohoo!!!

I’ve got another new top banner, this time featuring Cardinals pitcher Mark Mulder. THANK YOU WAH!!! If that’s what happens when you’re bored, well, I’ll take it. 😉 Muchas gracias!

And since I’m on banner number four for Moonlit Jazz, I thought I’d store the ones before in the photo gallery. You can see all banners here. Enjoy!

I missed Mr. George Eads on Craig Ferguson’s show last night. Alas! But my dear dear friend in Canada managed to record a bit for me and now I have it. She’s so sweet. Marni, love ya! 😀 (Now she just needs to get her website up so that I can tell you all to visit her.)

Oh, but I did catch the Teammates ep with Byrnes and Zito. They are a total HOOT!!! Crazy boys. Zito is cute on tv. 😛

Alas…

Why do little girls who claim to love Ryan Gosling insist on writing TRASH to me? (more…)

New top banner! (again)

15 May 2005

First off: Harden placed on the 15 day DL – NO!!!! Why do I have this utterly sad and sinking feeling about my A’s right now? Why?!

Second: New top banner! You should be seeing a George Eads as Nick Stokes banner made by Wah. If you don’t see it, right click on the image, choose “View Background Image,” then refresh the page that comes up. Come back and ta-da!

THANK YOU WAH!!!

The images come from the screencaps I did from the 3rd season CSI episode “Let the Seller Beware.”

Still fascinated by the new eyes…

12 May 2005

listening to... “Rezo” – Carlos Ponce

this post inspired by Wah‘s comment in my previous post…

My days recovering from Lasik have been WONDERFUL. I love not needing glasses. Sometimes I forget that I don’t wear glasses anymore and I go to push them up my nose. Silly, eh?

I’ve gotten used to it, so it’s a little strange to hear things like, “You look so different without glasses!” But I suppose if you’ve only known me with glasses, it’s strange to see me without them.

I still use the artificial tears on occasion. Sometimes I wake up and my eyes are dry, so I drop a couple of drops in and all is good. I still haven’t worn too much make up though. I used to wear eye make up everyday and now I think I’ve only tried eye shadow twice or so. Craziness! But hey, less for me to do in the morning. LOL!

On the way to work today we saw a license plate that said “MZ TEXS.” I don’t know why, but it made me laugh… The story in my head is threatening to take over! In my quiet moments, I’m trying to compose it. I keep imagining the different possibilities, but when I try to sit and write it, any of it, my muse flees me. I sometimes wish that I still wrote fanfiction. Much easier… The fence guy is here delivering the materials so that he can do the fence tomorrow. It’s too late for all of this! Grrr… I might be getting another new device. If I do, I’ll definitely show it off. LOL!…

Hopeless Back East…

10 May 2005

I am not going to show A’s scores before the “more” until they freakin’ win. So frustrating!!!

After seeing some of Wah‘s shots from the latest Razor magazine, I just had to go out and buy a copy. The Spring Training shots are lovely. 😉 I think it’s funny that the fellas featured are either current or former A’s players. Oh, and I’ve taken a picture *with* each one of them. What are the chances? 😆

My Razr takes nice pictures! I took a few today and posted one to my Textamerica. The one with the flowers. Isn’t the pic just so pretty? 😛

Time to work on my story. I must make time to work on my stories!

Oh, and if you really care about the A’s score for tonight…
