Slipping away…

26 September 2005

I feel it, the A’s season is slipping away. Sometimes I wonder if it’s better to know sooner than a week before it ends.

So let me talk about Prison Break first. (more…)

This game was televised in HD. One of the only bright spots of watching it this evening. Otherwise, it was just a bummer.

I spent most of my early day working on the pictures from my sister’s wedding. Looking back in the pics made me wish for the moments again. The good thing about capturing the moments? I suppose. I still haven’t watched my video footage. Ye gods!

Last day of summer…

21 September 2005

The last official day of summer. What a bummer! I wonder if that’s the reason behind the strange weather we’ve been having lately. Weather-wise, I don’t mind the cooler days. But in my head, the end of summer means the near end of baseball. Alas!

We caught up on Prison Break. Another great episode! I’m so hooked on that show. It’s nuts. Dominic Purcell isn’t getting nearly enough air time for my taste. Good thing Wentworth Miller is worth watching. 😉

Oh yes, and there was afternoon baseball… (more…)

A good win

20 September 2005

groovy! Minnesota 3, Oakland 8 at McAfee Coliseum

Winning pitcher – Joe Blanton (11-11)
Losing pitcher – Francisco Liriano (0-1)

Minnesota Runs: 3, Hits: 6, Errors 2
Oakland Runs: 8, Hits: 12, Errors 1

HR: MIN: J. Jones (22)
HR: OAK: N. Swisher (20)

Oakland Record:(84-67)

Another game with lots of runs scored for the A’s. And Swisher had a lovely homer. 😉

We watched the game while outside it rained and rained. But good thing for the A’s and the fans, the rain stopped in Oakland and didn’t delay the game. The weather has been a bit weird though…

A much too interesting game…

19 September 2005

yeehaw! Minnesota 6, Oakland 7 at McAfee Coliseum

Winning pitcher – Barry Zito (14-12)
Losing pitcher – Brad Radke (9-12)

Minnesota Runs: 6, Hits: 9, Errors 2
Oakland Runs: 7, Hits: 11, Errors 1

HR: MIN: M. Cuddyer (11) J. Morneau (21)
HR: OAK: M. Ellis (10) N. Swisher (19)

Oakland Record:(83-67)

First off, Barry Zito pitched a great game. Good thing the A’s scored a lot because the relievers decided to make it “interesting.” Bah! Second, it was GREAT to see Bobby Crosby back in the lineup. Smashing! And third, go Swisher and Ellis! Swish’s shot was fantastic and then Ellis hit one right after. They didn’t even have time to celebrate Swisher’s homer. 😆

Good times, good times…
