27 April 2002A’s won against the Chicago White Sox last night, 6-4. Groovay guys!
Looks like it’ll be a cloudy day at the Coliseum. Hmm, will I get to wear my groovy A’s jacket? LOL!
I couldn’t post last night. I was sad! 🙁
Was that a full moon last night, trying to peek behind the misty clouds? I think it was…

31 March 2002I must remember not to tamper with the template when I’m using Netscape…
I signed up with the discussion forum at connick.com. I’m “Moonlit Jazz” there. 😉 Here’s my first post:
Hey all! Yikes, it’s my first time posting here…
Just wanted to say that I saw Harry in San Francisco last night and it was a most AMAZING show. I don’t think I’ve ever said this before, but it was the best Harry show I’d been to (excluding the first one, which can never be compared). And I’ve been going to Harry concerts since 1990! (Man, why does that make me feel old? LOL!)
Even though we were up in the balcony, we were lucky to be in the first row, so we had an unobstructed view. We had a whole view of the stage and the acoustics were great! We could hear everything and see everything. Not bad for “cheap” seats.
Harry was fantastic. He sounded great, he looked good, and he had me from the moment the first note hit. The energy in the place just kept buzzing. And the band! I don’t think I can say enough about them. They jammed hard and every note shot straight. I’m in awe of all the talent I saw.
A most wonderful evening, even though I did have to drag the hubby away from watching his NCAA final four game (Maryland vs. Kansas). But on my end, it was worth it.
Thanks for letting me babble! I should’ve come out here long ago.
Yes, Harry was AWESOME! I wrote down the setlist, but I don’t think I have all the titles right. 😛 Oh well, here goes anyway:

We got a story about Starbucks. Harry was up in Seattle and made a crack about not finding a good place for coffee. A lady in the audience just happened to work for Starbucks and sent him a gift basket, along with a gift credit card, to be used “just like cash.” Well, he didn’t know how much was on it, but he thought it was a hefty sum ($100 or so, to be “conservative,” as he said). So here in the Bay Area, he and two buddies hit a Starbucks and he had his credit card. He thought he would be the man and pay for everyone, but his one friend didn’t want anything and his other friend wanted a muffin. Harry got something fancy (forgot the latte name :P). When the gal rang it up, she told him, “You owe me $1.90.” He asked her if she swiped the card. She told him he owed her $1.90. He had to borrow money from his friend and they figured out that the gift card had a whooping $5.00 on it!
Harry, such a card!

30 March 2002I just realized that I don’t have a link for Jane Monheit on this page. I tried doing a search on her, but I didn’t get an official site on her. The info and fan sites were nice, but none had the same tour information, so I didn’t want to link to them because of that. If you’re reading and you think you’ve got a link for Ms. Monheit, email me at jazz@kiari.com.
Harry Connick Jr tonight at the Orpheum in San Francisco! How exciting! I’ll definitely try and remember everything for a little report here. 😉

29 March 2002Ye gods, EXTRA had a small segment on Carlos Ponce today! (Actually, it was probably yesterday’s show, since we watch the just before noon show, which is the previous day’s show. Confused yet? LOL!) Anyhoo, Carlos’ new CD comes out on the 23rd of April. How exciting! They showed him filming his video “Mujeres con Pantalones.” Interesting title. 😉
I’ve got my SnapNType! Yeah, I’m going to fiddle around with it later. Soon. Something like that…
A decent day at work. Almost everything came in early. Had some paperwork incorrectly stamped, which led me to write a memo-like note to the person responsible. Yes, I had that much time.
My friend at work got her computer today! I hope she gets online soon. I’ll make her read my weblog. LOL!
And a big HOLA! to my sister.

29 March 2002First, I had a dream about Greg Lee. It was kinda cool. 😉 I remember asking to look at his eyes. I wanted to know what color they were. (I think they’re green, but you can never be sure.) We talked about his upcoming wedding and he said something about looking forward to being married. I said told him that he would like it…
Second, I just got an email regarding Ryan Gosling’s movie THE BELIEVER. I think an update to my Ryan site will soon be in order. 🙂
Third, ’tis Good Friday today…

28 March 2002Well, I made my eye appointment. I’m probably going to find out that I needed a new prescription a long time ago. 😛 Oh well. But my eyes have been bothering me a lot lately. Hmm, could it be all this computer stuff? LOL!
It’s almost the weekend. Oh, and tomorrow I’m supposed to get my SnapNType! I can’t wait. It’ll be good practice for when (I won’t say “if) I get my Treo. I so want one of those! Actually, I’d just be glad to hold one…
