The moon above is full if you can see it…
23 March 2005A Pitcher’s Pictures – Saw this link at Wah‘s site (in the comments). Zito takes good pictures. Although I found the Kielty ones a bit disturbing. Oh, and the Byrnesy one. 😛 Yah.
I can’t find any new Mulder shots, so how about the Bobby Crosby? 😉

moving for the ball…

Bobby in action!…
I’m enjoying my new eyes. Sometimes I forget that I don’t have glasses on and I try to take them off. LOL!
Ahhh, Young Hercules is on right now. Good times, good times. 😀 Ryan, Chris, and Dean. Their days together were too few. Alas. 😛
Karaoke Edition iPod
29 October 2004Ashlee Simpson Karaoke Edition iPod – Okay, I thought this was HILARIOUS!!!
And here’s my take on the whole thing, which is likely so yesterday, but hey, I’ve got time to write a little. LOL!
The difference between a performing artist and a recording artist…
Ashlee Simpson is a recording artist. They made her sing (I say that with a lot of generosity) and took her voice and worked magic (not enough, if you ask me) to produce the album that shot to number one. If anyone watched a moment of her reality show (I only watched a moment), you would know that she doesn’t really have a strong performing voice. Unless you like that kind of stuff. To each their own.
Harry Connick Jr., for example, is a performing artist. He never sounds the same on stage, but his musical performance, whether singing or playing, is consistent and pleasing to the ears. When he records his CDs, he and his band sit down and play each song all the way through, recording the performance in its entirety. One song at a time. I always think of his CDs as little live performances.I’m not going to say that I haven’t enjoyed the first ten or so times I’ve heard Ashlee’s song. “Pieces of Me” has a funky edginess to it. But I’m not disillusioned to believe that she’s a better singer than her sister. I’ve heard Jessica perform live and she’s amazing. I’d be scared to hear Ashlee perform live. From the one episode I saw on MTV, she would have a hard time doing a whole concert.
I enjoy the pop stuff and I take it for what it is. Recording artists cannot sing and dance and sound like their CDs when they perform live. I wouldn’t expect them to. But I’m not going to totally knock them either. They work hard to keep their lips in sync with the music while doing dance moves or what not. I couldn’t do it.
But I still think the link above is funny. 😉
A NEW TOY, BUT WHEN?!
14 January 2004on the jukebox: “So Simple” by Alicia Keys
I want this:

I already have this:

But I want the color one now! Why do they torture me like this? Why didn’t I just wait?
I’m going to get that Blackberry 7510, I just don’t know when. I’m such a freakin’ consumer. Ye gods!
EIGHT EIGHT SEVEN SEVEN
It’s always, “Hey [insert last name here], do you remember [insert the name he’s searching for].” And she always replies in her nice voice, even if she doesn’t know the answer.
It was only work stuff that day.
MORE FOG, NO SURPRISE
Another foggy drive up the Altamont. Oddly enough, the fog cleared by the time I got into Tracy. I guess that’s a good thing…
MONDAY MUSINGS…
12 January 2004on the jukebox: “All Improvviso Amor” by Josh Groban
Happy Monday! Right, no such thing, I know. LOL!
THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS AND TAGS!
Stefi – POTC rocks my socks too. 😉
Juli – I will definitely give a rundown on Barry Zito’s appearance on the Chris Isaak show. It should be very interesting. LOL! 😉
::celeste:: – I wish I could take you to Hawaii with me. But I’ll take lots of pictures to make everyone jealous. 😉 And I’ll keep a journal too, since I probably won’t have internet access out there. (But wouldn’t that be nice?)
On the Kev thing, I am also very thankful to have met him and been in his presence. And I am so very thankful for the friends I made (like you!) because of him. But I’m not going to obsess about him.
As for slash, I find some pairings odd. Joxer and Ares? Come on! But to each his own. And I find it interesting that the m/m slash is written by women. LOL!
Irish – I’m a picture taking fool, especially since I have a digital camera. It’s just so easy to take two hundred pictures! LOL!
Happy Birthday Jen! Okay, here it’s a day late, but I think I posted at your blog on your actual birthday. 😉 Enjoy your 20s. They go too fast! Have fun in Reno too! 😀
Sharon – Even though I have been to Hawaii twice, this will be my first time in Kauai. I am so looking forward to it! All of what I’ve seen so far of Hawaii has been beautiful. It’s going to be magical being part of a wedding there. Awww. And I don’t think I’d dig LOTR or HP slash either. I’m not really a slash fan, but if it’s well written, I can read it. Just not too much sex. Ewww!
Nicole – Xena conventions are so groovy! If you ever get a chance to go, go! 😀
Sharon – I knew someone would want to be Miss Swan in the layout. 😉 Don’t we all wish? LOL!
THE TEETH CLEANING
She only did one side today. So one side of my face is numb, which is weird! But I’d rather have it numb than to have to endure whatever pain I might have felt while she scraped at my teeth and beneath the gums. Ye gods!
I just want to be able to eat. I wonder how it’s going to feel. I need to eat soon!
It really wasn’t too bad though. She said that everything came off easily. Good thing! 😉
HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
We watched the local news for all the festivities. I miss seeing the San Francisco stuff. We get shots of Stockton and Sacramento out here in the Valley. Woohoo. 😛 I was personally glad to get home safe after work. Yes, I worked. But at least I was home for the turn of the new year. 🙂
I hope everyone had a lovely time celebrating…
Ahhh, back home…
1 November 2003I hope everyone had a good Halloween. And now it’s All Saints’ Day. Tomorrow is All Souls’ Day. I bet this means I’m supposed to go to church…
Yes, we’re back home! I got to sleep in my very own bed last night. Ahh, lovely! 😀
I spent the day at the hubby’s work yesterday. Folks dressed up:

The people at Claim Jumpers freaked when they saw “Michael Myers” walking into the restaurant. It was so cool! And oh, the food there was great. Of course, I only had the spaghetti and meatball (yes, the half portion). It was great! I should probably go back and have one of their specialties. 😉
While we were driving back to Livermore, we saw this on Santa Rita Road:

For dinner we had Kawa Sushi. Sushi!!! 😀
The weather has certainly took a wintry turn. Cold air, gray skies, the smell of wood burning. I like it…
09-25-2002
25 September 2002Tuesday: A’s fall to the Mariners, 7-8. What a waste! Barry Zito left the game with the lead, but the A’s let the Mariners come back to rally and win. NOT GOOD! Bad A’s boys! 😛
But I still love them. LOL!
Oh, forgot to mention we saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding on Sunday night. And there was a trailer for Star Trek: Nemesis. Woohoo! Looks FANTASTIC! I can’t wait to see the movie. I might have to take the day off. 13 of December. Oh, Friday the 13th? Oh well!
Why is it still so WARM? It’s autumn now, for goodness’ sake! And I’m driving the car with no air-conditioning. Grrrr.
