It was interesting going to bed last night. We’re house sitting/dog sitting, so along with the 4 dogs that live here (the Yorkies Lucy, Nicky, and Gizmo as well as Lab mix Trixie), we have our Yorkie Saffy and our Lab Meggie. That Gizmo dog, he’s the runt and there’s nothing funnier than a runty Yorkie. He’s a little antagonizer! Just right now he’s trying to get Meggie all riled up. Ye gods!
Anyhoo, last night we settled into bed. Saffy came up, Nicky came up, Gizmo came up. Lucy didn’t want to bother, I suppose. Saffy settled down next to us, but Gizmo stared at me for a long moment, then walked up my pillow and curled up next to my head. I told him to scoot and had to pick him up and put him further down the bed. He just came right back up and curled up next to my head. He did that three times! Finally I put my arm over the pillow and he got the hint. He stared at me again, then curled up under my armpit. Crazy ass little dog! But he didn’t come up on the pillow the rest of the night…
It’s a little strange housesitting. I wish my own house was this clean! 😉
GOOD OLD SRJ
On the work front, I am SAD to report that Mike has turned in his resignation. How can you leave us?! But I absolutely understand why he’s doing it, even though it’s kinda scary to think about. Even though I will miss him terribly, I wish him all the best. We’re all going to miss you Mike. I hope you have a wonderful and prosperous adventure. 🙂
Yesterday was Celeste’s last day. She’s transferring out. I’ll miss her too, but she’s probably going to do overtime with us, so we’ll see her every now and then…
DRIVING WITH THE TOP DOWN
We drove to our house in their convertible. We had the top down for the drive. It was EXHILARATING! And just beautiful. The stars over us, the wind hard. Night time is so lovely. And driving into the valley with the top down at night is simply wonderful…
COUPLING, SOUTH PARK, TV ETC.
Finally, an “original” episode of Coupling aired on Thursday night. I say original because it was a strictly American ep, not a copy of the British show. I thought it was funny! So maybe I do just like the show. Rena Sofer is so beautiful. The guy who plays Patrick is funny.
And we got the season premiere of South Park on Wednesday. It was HILARIOUS! I have to say, one of my favorite parts was Mr. Slave saying “Jesus Christ” in reaction to everything. The CRAB PEOPLE, CRAB PEOPLE. I guess you had to be there. 😉
CSI was SAD, but as always a good show. How the heck do they do it?
