Phone calls for charity…

I’m waiting for a phone call at the moment. A few minutes ago the phone rang showing an 800-number. Against my better judgement I answered the phone even though I’m sure my phone call won’t be coming from an 800-number. I was right, I shouldn’t have answered.

A surly voice came on the line, asking for me by name. He’s with a Veteran’s group or something, asking for donation. Unfortunately for him, I’m waiting on a phone call and I tell him so. Plus I wasn’t too keen on the way he sounded. Surly is probably the best word for it. So I tell him that I’m waiting for a phone call and I cannot stay on the line with him. “But these are your veterans, Valerie.” I apologize and he mumbles something and hangs up.

Right before he called, I was reading a Yahoo! article on Michael Moore’s latest film, “Fahrenheit 9/11.” The people at the Cannes Festival apparently like it. I’ll probably never see it. I’m not really into propaganda “entertainment.”

I hate waiting for this phone call. I hope I say the right things. It’s just so unnerving sitting here with the phone just over there. I hope the dogs don’t go crazy when I answer the phone. 😛

I’m saving this as a draft and I’ll post it after the phone call. I’ll probably add more…

(still waiting for the phone call and it’s 0921 hrs…)

JEN!!! I hope you’re going to take lots of pictures at the card show. I so wish I could go! 🙁 I wanna see Mulder!

And so it is done. I got my phone call. The lady on the other end sounded sympathic, but not optimistic. I hope that my answers were enough to sway them to grant me what I seek. We shall see.

I was hoping to hear from the salon today. I wanted them to work on my hair for free! What else have I got going today? LOL!

I just finished taking a whole bunch of pictures around the house. Candle shots and doggie shots. My little dog refuses to stand by the big dog so that I can get a picture of the two of them together. Animals! 😛
