Wrigleys, when I chew. 😉

Thursday: A’s fell to the Twins 5-6. Ugh, their first home series lost. And to the Twinkies! For goodness’ sakes.
I’m off today and all of the next week. Woohoo! Yes, a vacation after the vacation. I highly recommend it.
Work sucks right now. Layoffs might be on the horizon, according to the rumors floating around. It’s all a bunch of crap! We just getting by (and not even really that) and they’re talking about laying people off? If they start laying off civilian staff and using badge personnel to man those positions, that’s one less officer on the streets or watching inmates in the housing units. Is that what they want? Our jail population hovers at the higher end, we have barely enough staff to cover it, and everyone is getting stretched to unbelievable lengths. How much more are we supposed to take?
