7 October 2002

I don’t know why I torture myself with reading article after article about the A’s and their defeat. It’s driving me nuts. I’m on the downer side and I just don’t like it. I hate this feeling of resignation. I don’t like being heartbroken. But my philosophy is to experience each experience and I know that this is one I must endure. I’ll get over it. Until then, I must live it.

Besides, it’s difficult finding an up side on a Monday. Ye gods!

Twas a hot day today, but I drove the truck to work. Ahh, air conditioning! It was a typical Monday at work– busy and endless. I had help with my work (thank goodness!), so I got out on time. Oh, I had this woman call my line and she wanted information I don’t usually give. She got this attitude with me when she called back the second time, yet when I tried to explain exactly what I do, she took another call and didn’t reply to me. I hung up on her.

Well, looks like the San Francisco Giants shall play the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series. As much as I’d like to hibernate from baseball, one team I enjoy is still in it and so I’ll watch. GO CARDINALS!!! 😉 Personally, I think the Angels and the Cardinals shall meet in the World Series. Not that I’m an Angels fan, mind you. But I envision lots of red. Besides, I really don’t want to watch the World Series in the Metrodome, no matter how spunky the Twins are. YUCK to that ballpark!

I might get to go to a Cardinals game this weekend. I love Pac Bell Park. It’s a definite beauty. It’s almost perfect…

We went house hunting before the game yesterday. Lots of houses and one that really caught our eye. We shall see…
