A’s over the Twins, 6-3. WOOHOO! Can I say that I didn’t really have any doubt that they would win this game? It was driving me nuts getting the score on my phone though. Still, I felt like a chick with power when I had my (male) co-workers dropping by and asking me the score. Good times indeed. 😉

My boys didn’t play yesterday, but the NL teams did. Outcome: Cardinals over the Diamondbacks, 2-1 and the Braves over the Giants, 7-3. Go Cardinals! 😀 I’d prefer the Giants to win, but I’m not supposed to really care. 😉 The Cards are the only 2-0 team in the playoffs so far. Can they hold on to win game 3? I’ll say HECK YEAH!
Barry Zito takes the mound today against the Minnesota Twins in the Metrodome. Label Zito, feel the wrath – read up on the man who, if he must be labeled, wants only to be labeled “pitcher.” Don’t call him a flake! (How about “freak boy”, Barry? I mean it in all affection, really!)
And this one is an outrage: DJ pulls crude prank on Kile’s widow. First, I hope the Cardinals smack down the Diamondbacks, then I hope someone puts the hurt on the DJ who pulled the prank. And excuse me, the market manager of the company that owns the station “talked to major league baseball officials and Arizona Diamondbacks president Rich Dozer to apologize.” But where was the call to the Cardinals? And a formal apology to Flynn Kile? I’m with Tony LaRussa, “I hope whoever was responsible gets nailed.”
Oh, and in my real life (LOL!), we have an offer. Woohoo!
