I think we’re finally going to see a movie today. XXX. Yeah, Marton! Oh, and that Vin Diesel guy. LOL!

I still haven’t heard from my friends! I emailed them and I haven’t gotten anything back yet. I hope my emails got through. I just want to know what they think of my picture with Mark! (Oh neat, I said “Mark” instead of “Mulder.” LOL!) Doesn’t anyone care? “Patience,” I hear the Yoda voice say. “Patience.”

And I keep wondering, will I ever get sick of the picture? Nah! He’s too cute! LOL!

20TH CONSECUTIVE WIN: It’s now a piece of baseball history. The A’s win, in dramatic fashion yet again, 12-11 against the Kansas City Royals to end the homestand.

As ESPN.com says: A laugher turned into a nailbiter, which turned into a thriller.

As the hubby says:

It was pure hell.

Or, as another could say:

Good times, good times.

The “laugher” part: The A’s scored 11 runs through the first three innings. It was exhilarating!

The “nailbiter” part: The Royals battled back with 5 runs in the fifth, 5 runs in the eighth, then one run in the top of the ninth to tie the game 11-11. “Have faith,” I had to tell myself.

The “thriller” part: Pinch hitter Scott Hatteberg steps up to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth. “An unlikely hero,” I thought to myself, even as one of my fellow A’s fans said, “Come on, Hatteberg, be my hero.” On a 1-0 pitch fastball from Jason Grimsley, Hatteberg hit the ball to the right field bleachers, sending the regular season record crowd of 55,528 into a frenzy. It was a delicious end to an exhausting game.

Twenty wins, 20 ways to win

It’s crazy to think that being there made us part of baseball history. We witnessed it, we were part of it. Good times indeed, I’ll have to say…
