3 September 2002

I just did a search on Mark Mulder and came upon this => Icebreaker: Mark Mulder

3 September 2002

I wonder if I’ll ever get sick of the picture with Mulder. LOL! It’s weird, in my head I either call him Mark Mulder or Mulder, but never Mark. Yet Barry Zito is Barry Zito, Zito, or Barry. And I don’t think too much about the other players to think of their names. Although I like calling Miguel Tejada, “Miggy.” 😀

Wow, it’s a day off for the A’s and I’m actually writing? Did I mention that I’m on VACATION? It’s most wonderful! I have no idea what I’ll be doing these lazy days, but I do know that I’ll be quite lazy. My dogs will like having me home though, eh?

Well, tomorrow I hope to go to the game. It’s Dollar Wednesday at the Coliseum! (I still don’t call it “The Net.” Puh-leez!)

Cherry Adair, mentioned my previous post, will be making an appearance in Newark in the 7th. I’m almost tempted to go! Maybe get my copy of “Take Me” signed. That would be cool. 😉

We’re going to see XXX. Yeah, Vin Diesel is in it, but so is Marton Csokas. Don’t know him? You might soon enough. 😉

Sometimes I think I’m talking to myself here. LOL! Nah, I don’t mind at all…

I think I like writing in the wee hours of the morning. 😛

I still can’t believe it. 19 wins in a row! And Miguel Tejada is making a serious bid for MVP. How can any one deny it? He’s the reason they won today (err, yesterday).

I’m relishing these moments. Each day of baseball is a new day to be experienced and cherished. I think that’s why they keep winning. They treat each day as a new day and each game as a new game. No resting on laurels for them! But what’s even more amazing is that they’re having fun! And they keep finding ways to win. I am proud to be an A’s fan. And I’m very proud of “my boys.” 😀

All of this baseball is certainly helping with my baseball story. In a way. Though right now my mind is focused on the “intimate” scenes in my baseball romance story. Yes, it’s a romance. I think the intimate stuff comes from the fact that over the weekend I read a romance novel called “Take Me” by Cherry Adair. Nice title, eh? It’s a Harlequin Blaze romance, which makes it quite juicy and very detailed. It was a good read. 😉 Anyhoo, I think it helped me visual what I wanted for my characters. Probably helped that I met Mark Mulder over the weekend too. Ask not what that means! LOL!

Does anyone ever even read this? 😛 Fine, if someone reads this, why not post a little howdy on the tag board? It’s harmless and it lets me know that someone was here…
