It’s a little weird “watching” a baseball game online. It’s more like this chart that changes whenever a pitch is thrown. Kinda cool, but you know it’s delayed. Still, if you can’t get to a radio that plays AM, MLB.com’s Day Game thing is the next best thing. 😉

And the A’s win! Woohoo! 8-0 over the Yankees. Ever sweet. 😀 The Spankees (as the hubbs likes to call them) got 10 hits and couldn’t score a run. Too bad for them. 😛 Tomorrow, Mark Mulder against Mike Mussina. Both have identical records at 13-6. Mulder’s ERA is the better at 3.57 against Mussina’s 4.9. Sounds like a good match. I must get up early to watch it! 😀

While I was “watching” the game online, I was also working on my baseball story. It’s funny how when you start writing, the outlines you made suddenly fly out the window. LOL! I hadn’t planned on my two main characters getting close until at least the second chapter or whatever, but here they are, holding hands already! Okay, it’s to fight off a “sponser seeker,” but still. :)~

Oops, forgot to mention that Barry Bonds hit his 600th home run yesterday. (Hey, he’s a Giants player and I’m an A’s fan…) Good for him and lucky fans at Pac Bell who got to witness the momentous event. 😀

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get over the melancholy of memories when I think of Kevin Smith. It’s such a mix of emotions. The cheerful, sunny side of me is ever grateful to have been in his presence, to have heard him say my name, to have etched a memory I will never forget. But the sadder, darker side of me cries out how unfair life can be to take away such a man of good spirit and presence.

Yes, I still think about him. And I’m glad. But I still want to cry. And I don’t…
