A’s over the Blue Jays, 7-4. Eric Chavez hit a grand slam and Barry Zito got the win. 🙂
Right before Chavez’s grand slam, the screen flashes with his (then) grand slam stats. I said aloud, “Right, it’s not like he’s going to hit one.” Next pitch was out of the park. Nuts, eh? 😛

Urban Legends: Welcome to The Show, prepare for hazing
Mychael Urban writes the funniest things and I always enjoy his “Urban Legends” column. This one is no different. And I always seem to laugh at the Barry Zito bits. LOL!
But it was Barry Zito, circa 2000, who really took the cake. As in wedding.
Matt Stairs, now with the Cubs, bought a wedding dress for Zito to wear one day. And wear it he did. Happily.
“Oh, yeah. Dude, I was all virginal. Totally,” Zito says. “It was kinda sweet.”
Zito’s a freak boy, isn’t he? He makes me laugh! And he’s kinda cute too. 😉 Ah, and he’s signed until 2005. Most groovay!

Bugger! 🙁 A’s lost to the Toronto Blue Jay, 6-2. Mulder took the mound, but he got the loss. I do so hate the dark days…
Three moms and their babies – The moms of A’s aces Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, and Barry Zito talk about their babies. I can’t believe that Mulder and Zito were preteens while I was in college. Ye gods! LOL! Oh, and if you go read the article, you’ll see a cute picture of the guys with flowers for their moms. Awwww….
