A’s won, 6-2. Barry Zito got the win. 🙂
Speaking of freak boy Zito, this just made me laugh!
A’s lefty Barry Zito has a pretty serious routine on the day he pitches, too. And don’t you dare do anything that might take him off it. Every second is precious.
“Seriously, dude, this is something I have to do,” Zito says. “Just give me my little freak time once every five days and I’m good.”
If you know anything about Zito, you’re smiling right now. He gets his little freak time every day. This is a guy who used to travel with stuffed animals and is single-handedly trying to bring ’70s porn fashion — bright, striped silk shirts and no underwear — back into the mainstream.

I was not only smiling, I was laughing! Even before I read the part about “if you know anything about Zito.” And what’s the no underwear thing? LOL!
On a big frown note: Mark Mulder won’t be making his Saturday start for sure. But, we’ll be at the ballpark anyway. It’s Tim Hudson Bobblehead Day! 😉
