if I could

7 February 2007

if I could just live
inside this moment
make it last ever after
soak it into my soul
if I could just laugh
ride it fast and free
sweeping out the routine
so far away from me
if I could just fly
spinning up
soaring so high
the wind gliding by
if I could
yes I would
especially with you…

strangers walking away

6 February 2007

let’s just forget
we can pretend
strangers walking away
bliss again
just a little innocent
no reason to stay
but is the day brighter
without you
are we at all better
beneath this blue
we won’t know
strangers walking away
just a small pull
urging us to stay…

I’ve got that wandering feeling in my head. I have words that just want to come out, but when I’m actually in a position to write or type it down, nothing happens. But I need to write something.

So I’ll babble.

  • I think I’m really enjoying Robin Thicke’s music. Sometimes you just need that R&B to roll over your body and then find a place to sink in. And he’s doing for me right now.
  • I’m glad I’m almost caught up on Supernatural. I’m tempted to watch an episode right now. But I won’t.
  • I want to write something. Maybe I should write second part to that ficlet I posted the other day. Hmmm. But why did I start a Sam from Supernatural fic when I’m a Dean girl? (Yes, I admit it. Like no one knows that one.)

Oh, and TV things!

  • Heroes rocks. I totally called that end! It makes sense and it just boggles the mind too. What other secrets will be revealed? I love the reveal of secrets. 😀
  • Prison Break. Oh wow, Michael and Sara’s KISS. Yums. 😉
  • Lost starts on Wednesday!!! Yah! Can’t wait. But I’ll have to wait.
  • Psych makes me laugh and I’m glad it’s back from hiatus.

Okay, I guess I’m done now. LOL!

twas slightly naughty again

5 February 2007

After the interview on Friday, I stayed home and played sick rightly. We were supposed to go to a housewarming on Saturday and decided not. And on Sunday we were supposed to got to Super Bowl party. Didn’t do that either.

The best part of the Super Bowl was freakin’ Prince. HE ROCKED!!! I think he has a portrait in the attic, he’s aged so well. And he was fantastic. He sounded great. And I’m not a big Prince fan, but I do like a lot of his stuff.

Good words
while I was driving home on Friday

I have three more episodes of Supernatural to watch before I’m caught up. Some highlights (and probably quite Dean-centric):

  • Dean *not* flirting with Jo and telling her that normally he would be going for her.
  • “Can’t Fight This Feeling” – Dean style
  • Demon Chick taking advantage of Dean (I would have so done the same thing!)
  • Sam on the bed checking out the XXX channel and Dean catching him, then later making little porn remarks.
  • Dean’s tears. (I’m a SUCKER for cute fellas crying… hence my adoration for William Gregory Lee…)

So thanks to my self imposed Supernatural marathon, I am duly re-obsessed with Mr. Jensen Ackles. Oh, it’s such a wondrous feeling. Rarr. LOL!

I stayed home today from work. I had to make it look good, right?

Time for some food. Hungry!

detour from destiny

4 February 2007

So, something I wrote a bit ago. It has no timeline in regards to Supernatural at the moment (especially since I haven’t caught up with the series yet). It’s just a moment that could or could not happen. 🙂

title: Detour from Destiny
author:
spoilers: none
rating: PG
pairing: Sam/Girl
summary: Sam’s alone in a bar and meets a woman. Nothing too supernatural going on except he tells her his name is Dean.

He took a healthy swig of his beer, trying to lose himself in the noise of the bar. Was one moment of peace so much to ask?

She took the seat opposite him, not even a smile on her rather pretty face. He stared at her for a moment.

“Buy me a beer,” she said.

He cocked an eyebrow. Who the hell did she think she was? He frowned. But even in this moment of despair, he was the gentleman. He gestured at the bartender, who nodded and brought over another bottle.

“Thanks.” Still no smile, but perhaps a little amusement behind the light brown eyes. She brought the bottle to her lips, gave it a little lick, then took a long drink. She placed the bottle close to his.

He swallowed, then took another very healthy swig of his own beer. He was feeling antsy for some reason. Why couldn’t he take his eyes off of her?

“What’s your name?” She asked.

Sam. It was on the tip of his tongue to say it but something strange took over and instead he replied, “Dean.”

“Dean.” She studied him with those golden brown eyes of hers. Then she smiled. “And what do you, Dean?”

“In an hour or so, you,” he replied without thinking. Hell, wouldn’t his brother say something like that? And if he was going to use his brother’s name, Sam figured on using some of his bravado too. So he tried not to care about the woman’s reaction.

“Oh my,” she said softly. She took another swig of her beer, her eyes never leaving his. “You sound so sure, Dean. How can you be so sure?”

Sam almost regretted not telling her his own name. She seemed to caress the name in her mouth before release and he wouldn’t mind hearing his name said so seductively.

He grinned, not quite feeling like himself. “You haven’t walked away yet.”

“Maybe I’m just curious about your plan of action. You do have a plan, don’t you Dean?” She smiled.

Beautiful, he realized. She was beautiful. And did he have a plan? He hadn’t thought that far ahead. He had an hour. “I always have a plan.”

She gave a little laugh as she drank just a bit more.

“What’s your name?” He finally asked.

“Sam.”

And he thought he was caught. She knew his name? Who was she? What the hell–? Then he realized that her name was Sam. He tried not to choke. “And what do you do, Sam?” Yeah, that came out smooth.

“In an hour or so, you,” she smiled.

He liked this game they were playing. He let his eyes play over her face and then a bit down. She had a low cut blouse on. Nothing too showy but leaning in the way she was, he had a view. A nice view.

“Green is pretty color on you,” he commented, letting his eyes slowly rise to meet hers.

Amusement again in the golden brown. “Well thank you, Dean.”

Everytime his brother’s name sighed from her lips, Sam cursed himself for not telling her his real name. Then again, how weird would it have been to be two Sams talking to each other in a bar? He tried not to laugh at himself at his train of thought.

“So Sam, what brings you to this fine establishment?”

She shrugged. “I’m taking a detour from destiny.”

He smiled. “Interesting way to put it.”

“I’m interesting in that way,” she winked. “What about you? What brings you here?”

“The end of the day,” he smiled. “Or the beginning of night? Take your pick.”

She was thoughtful for a moment. “I think I’ll take beginning of night. Sounds more promising.” She brought the bottle to her lips again, then slowly downed the rest of her beer. When she finished, she slid the bottle next to his and waited.

“I’ve got a room not too far from here,” she said softly. “If you’d care to join me.”

Sam stood up, took a final swig of his beer, and dropped some money on the bar next to their empty bottles.

“Lead on, Miss Sam,” he smiled.

He followed her out the door and almost knocked her over when she stopped and turned around.

“Dean?” She looked up at him with very wide eyes.

“Yes Sam?”

“Kiss me,” she commanded quietly.

He didn’t need for her to ask again. He leaned down as she tipped her chin up. Their lips met almost shyly, then her lips parted beneath his and he tasted the warmth of her mouth. Beer and something spicy, he noted fleetingly. She had sweet, full lips and he knew he could lose himself in her. If just for a moment.

She pulled away and he watched her slowly open her eyes. A ghost of a smile curved her lips and she turned around without a word. He followed her, trying not to think too much about what he would be doing within the hour.
