Fast Monday

30 August 2004

I love when Mondays fly and suddenly it’s almost bedtime. LOL!

I still have Gmail invites! Want one? Comment or email me (jazz[at]walelia[dot]com). 🙂

Can you tell that my boys didn’t play today?

And a little sidenote:

I really do appreciate the visits to this site and I love the comments and the Tags. But I would really like to steer clear of the personal lives of the players, especially in the Tags. Okay? Okay!

Bedtime!

Blown save but a win anyway…

And the A's win! Tampa Bay 6, Oakland 9 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Octavio Dotel (4-5)
Losing Pitcher – Danys Baez (3-3)

TB Runs: 6, Hits: 12, Errors: 2
OAK Runs: 9, Hits: 12, Errors: 0

HR: TB: A. Huff (23), J. Cruz, Jr. (19). OAK: B. McMillon (2).
Oakland Record: (77-53)

Chavez, Mulder looking down, Mulder checking out the field, Chavez and Melhuse

Once again, Mulder did not have his best stuff. What’s going on with him? But he left the game with a two run lead and was in line to get his 18th win. Then at the top of the ninth Dotel gave up two homers to tie the game. Bottom of the ninth, Billy McMillon hit a three run homer to win the game. Twas exciting! 😀 Gotta love the walk-offs.

All Mulder…

Yes, I had fun taking pictures of my television. Goofy, eh?

#10 for Hudson!

And the A's win! Tampa Bay 4, Oakland 5 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Tim Hudson (10-4)
Losing Pitcher – Dewon Brazelton (6-5)
SV – Octavio Dotel(30)

TB Runs: 4, Hits: 5, Errors: 0
OAK Runs: 5, Hits: 8, Errors: 3

HR: OAK: E. Chavez (27), E. Byrnes (19).
Oakland Record: (76-53)

Hudson ready to throw one, Dye waiting for the sun to set, Chavez at third, Mulder and Scutaro on the side…

It looked like Hudson was just going to cruise along, then he had an interesting inning. 😛 But he managed to hold on, as did the bullpen (though Dotel made it a bit exciting). Good times, good times.

Hudson sets, Miller sucks on a tootsie pop while Mulder speaks, Chavez on first next to Martinez, Crosby hoping to advance a base…

It was Fireworks night at the Coliseum, so the stadium was filled even in the 9th inning. I’m sure while they were cheering on Dotel, the crowd really wanted the game to end so that they could watch the fireworks. 😉

Hudson in the dugout, Melhuse at the plate, Zito looking natural, Byrnes and Ellis in the dugout…

Right, I took lots of screenshots. I’m getting addicted. LOL! 😀

TWIB

28 August 2004

listening to... “If I Fell in Love with You” – Maroon 5

I was awake so early today. I didn’t do that sleep-until-9am thing that I wanted to do. Ah well!

This Week in Baseball was on 9:30 am here because FOX always freakin’ plays the Giants game if they are one of the FOX Saturday games. Do they ever play the A’s games? No. Why? Because FOX sucks. (I do not include Fox Sports Network because they were Sports Channel before.) Anyhoo, because they were showing the early Giants game, TWIB was on in the morning instead of 12:30. Grrr.

But who cares about that? I’ve got some screenshots!

TWIB: Mulder edition – The Housemates (Mulder, Crosby, Harden, & “Mr.” Melhuse), Keith Foulke the former closer, Crosby striking a pose next to his ride, Mulder in mid-sentence…

Someday I will burn the ep to DVD and I will do proper screencaptures. 🙂 Until then, you must all suffer through me taking pictures of my television with my digital camera. LOL!

Mulder victimized by bubblegum, checking out the neighborhood, again in mid-sentence, realizing that he got bubblegummed…

I always like seeing the ballplayers outside of the ballpark and in regular clothes. And the Boys always have a nice looking house. Oh, and nice cars too. 😀 They also featured Keith Foulke on the show and I realized while I was watching that I’ve never really heard Foulke talk. He’s cute. 🙂

The game is on tonight. Wish I could be there!

Gmail…

I’ve still got some invites if anyone reading this 1) wants a Gmail account and 2) doesn’t have one already. Comment or send me an email if you’d like to try it out…

Bullpen win!

27 August 2004

And the A's win! Tampa Bay 7, Oakland 8 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Justin Duchscherer (5-4)
Losing Pitcher – Mark Hendrickson (8-13)
SV – Octavio Dotel(29)

TB Runs: 7, Hits: 15, Errors: 1
OAK Runs: 8, Hits: 13, Errors: 1

HR: TB: G. Blum (6). OAK: M. Scutaro (6), E. Chavez (26), E. Durazo (21).
Oakland Record: (75-53)

Woohoo, the A’s won! 😀

4 September 2005 – Mark the day! Ye gods!

I’m in a wedding next year. I found out today. Exciting! 😉

Got Gmail?

Or more importantly, want Gmail? I’ve got invites to give out. Just comment or send me an email (jazz[at]walelia[dot]com).

Finally, FRIDAY!!!

I’m glad it’s the weekend. I want to be lazy and sleep until at least 9am. Goals, you’ve got to have them! 😉

Yes, I live in Stanislaus County…

#10 for Zito

And the A's win! Baltimore 4, Oakland 9 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Barry Zito (10-9)
Losing Pitcher – Daniel Cabrera (9-7)

BAL Runs: 4, Hits: 8, Errors: 0
OAK Runs: 9, Hits: 9, Errors: 0

HR: OAK: E. Chavez (25), E. Durazo (20).
Oakland Record: (74-53)

Zito during today’s game…

Good for Zito! 🙂 He’s over .500! Wish I could have been there. Day games during the week rock! LOL!

Mulder hosts TWIB – So guess what all you Mark Mulder fans should watch on Saturday? That’s right, This Week in Baseball! 😉 Read the article for more details.

Shots from the valley: Horses making the cows run, the moon high above, the moon high above take two, and out to where?

Those pictures are my part of my daily commute. Those were while we were driving home. Lovely, isn’t it? Hey, it’s better than sitting on the freeway in bumper to bumper traffic. 😛

I get to update my Greg site! I love getting the scoop. Makes me feel loved. LOL!

A pitcher’s duel

25 August 2004

And the A's win! Baltimore 0, Oakland 3 at Network Associates Coliseum

Winning Pitcher – Octavio Dotel (3-5)
Losing Pitcher – B.J. Ryan (3-4)

BAL Runs: 0, Hits: 5, Errors: 0
OAK Runs: 3, Hits: 5, Errors: 0

HR: OAK: M. Scutaro (5).
Oakland Record: (73-53)

Tonight’s game: Harden on the mound, Crosby at the plate, Zito and Ellis on the side, Scutaro pied after his walk-off homerun…

Twas a pitcher’s duel and a brilliant one at that. Too bad Harden didn’t get the win, but the A’s won on Marco Scutaro’s walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Classic. And in time for me to go to bed. LOL!
