The Longest Day of the Year
21 June 2005Happy Summertime! 😀 ‘Tis officially summer. Ahhh, glorious.
Oakland 4, Seattle 2
at Safeco Field
Winning pitcher – Rich Harden (3-3)
Losing pitcher – Joel Pineiro (2-4)
SV – Justin Duchscherer (3)
Oakland Runs: 4, Hits: 8, Errors 0
Seattle Runs: 2, Hits: 7, Errors 1
HR: OAK: D. Johnson (1) SEA:
Oakland Record:(31-39)
Rich Harden was back on the mound and got the win. Groovay! 😉 Too bad that once again, we didn’t have it out here in the Central Valley. I’m sorry, but why do we have the Giants two nights in a row? More Giants games play out here than A’s games and I find that utterly insulting. Ughhhh! It should be an even split between both teams or they shouldn’t be part of this area and then I can get all the A’s games on DirecTV. I think if either team is showing on tv in the Bay Area, then they should be showing out here too if they are part of this area. It shouldn’t have to be a contest between them.
Grrrr!
Otherwise, HAPPY SUMMER! 😀
Monday off…

Super sweet!!! 😀
I stayed home from work because of crazy stomach, but the game wasn’t on tv out here in the freakin’ Central Valley. Grrrr! Oh well, I got to watch some of the Cardinals game, so my baseball watching was satisfied. They won too. Most cool. 😉
Happy Father’s Day!
19 June 2005
with my parents, with the hubby, bottom pics of various folks at my parents’ house…
We spent the day in San Leandro. Aunts, Uncles, and cousins mingled throughout the house. My grandmother got a game of mahjong going in my sister’s old room. I ate a lot of food. Yummy!

flower shots from around the house and garden…
It was great seeing my family. I miss them. We talked a little about my sister’s upcoming wedding. I got to show off my camera and my phone to my cousin and his daughters. 😆 I love being able to bust out my gear. Yeah, I’m a little show-off. What can I say? 😉
Oh yes, and my boys won. Woohoo! And congrats to Michael Campbell for his win at the US Open. Yes, I actually watched it. And yes, I was cheering Campbell on. I have a soft spot for the New Zealand folks. 😉

Woohoo, the A’s won! 😀 I saw maybe an inning at most of this game. Oh well. 😛

The crabs arrived in that box… they waited on the table for us… utensils ready… crabs in pieces…
We headed over to Livermore for a homestyle crab feed. The husband had crabs shipped from Maryland for Father’s Day. Since FedEx doesn’t deliver on Sundays, we had Father’s Day for his dad today. (Works better for me since we have to go to my parents’ tomorrow.)
I ate more crabs than I thought I would! They were yummy! I love the fact that I get to eat with my hands. And right now my hands still smell like that Old Bay seasoning. I’ve washed my hands at least five times since dinner. Ye gods!

The memorial garden (pics 1, 2, and 4) for Weebee and Trixie… a random flower (pic 3)
The big dogs, Weebee and Trixie, now reside in rock homes in the garden. We visited them and remembered them with smiles.

The squirrel…
The in-laws leave peanuts for the neighborhood squirrels. The little creatures grab their goodies when they get the chance and I actually got some good shots. I even have a little movie with the squirrel going in and taking a peanut. Pretty cool! Oh, the things that amuse me. 😆
At least it’s the weekend…

Sucks for Barry. Bah!!!

Zito, Chavez, Bobby
So yeehaw, it’s the weekend! Hopefully the whole rain thing has passed us by, eh?

Mulder during his winning game today…
Oh yes, Mulder won. 😉 A little bit of happiness in my baseball life, right? And ye gods, if my calculations are correct, Mulder is pitching the first game of the Cards at Giants series. And guess who’ll be there? Me, with my Mulder jersey on!!! Can it be? Will it be? We shall see…

Yeah, rain. Weird! Isn’t it the middle of June? I must say, I’m glad for the reprieve from the oh-so hot weather. 😆 It’ll come back soon enough.
Oh, and bah on my A’s. Oh well, can’t win them all! 😉 I still love them. Bunches.
