It’s very strange to think that a week ago today, we were in Lake Tahoe. Time flies much too fast!

We relaxed a lot, hit the casinos everyday. Did not win big, but didn’t lose our asses either. 😉 I had fun watching the dice roll at the craps table. And blackjack is cool too. Nope, I didn’t gamble. I had fun watching though!
Hey, I even hiked! Okay, so it was only a mile, but for me, that is a big deal. It was easy going down to Vikingsholm. Most of the walk was downhill.
The views on the way were lovely and once there, we got to walk around the property. The house itself was closed for the season, unfortunately. Still, it was worth the hike down. The hike back up was a BEAR! I need to exercise more. I felt like an old lady. And an older couple passed us up on the way up! How sad. 😛
The Gondola at Heavenly was GREAT! Scary, but great. The view at the very top was BREATHTAKING! And yes, scary. 😉 Actually, the ride down was probably the scariest thing. But worth it for sure.

We stayed at the Stardust Lodge, which was in walking distance of the casinos and the Gondola at Heavenly. We didn’t have to move the truck but once! 😉

We did some shopping, of course. And lots of EATING! 😉 I just love those buffets! The one at Harveys, the Pacific Seafood, was delicious! I had sushi! 😀 Probably too much, but it was good. At Harrah’s Forest Buffet, we had a lovely view and great food. Lots of variety there. And of course we had to do Caesar’s buffet. Probably the cheapest of the bunch, but good too! 🙂
How can you eat with a view like that?
And now we’re back home. I suppose I should unpack now. 😛
