AWESOME GAME!!! Oh my freakin’ god! Mark Mulder pitched brilliantly, as did Andy Pettitte, but in the end, THE A’S WON! Twas GLORIOUS!

I woke up at 0600 hrs, as I planned and I was out of the house by 0710 hrs, a bit later than I planned. I got to Alameda before 0830 hrs. We got to the ballpark before 1000 hrs and who did I see? Why, JEN! 😀 LOVE YOUR SHIRT! And I forgot to take a picture with you, chica. Next time! 😉

We positioned ourselves out in left center field, but it turned out to be a bad choice, as compared to last year. Alas! I didn’t take as many pictures of the players as I did last year, but I did take one more picture *with* a player than I did last year. I really really wanted one with Tim Hudson or Rich Harden, but ALAS, they didn’t make it to us. Instead, I got one with Scott Hatteberg (mostly to show to a lady at work) and one with Keith Foulke because he was just too cute. 😉 I took pictures of the various players who passed by, but nothing too spectacular. I’ll do my pictures sometime this week…

The game. Mulder was PERFECT for four and two thirds innings, then he gave up a double to one and a single to another. The Yankees scored in that inning and so it was until the ninth. Miguel Tejada came up with two on and one out and hit a walkoff double to score Mark Ellis and Eric Chavez. TWAS AWESOME!

“You just had a feeling something was going to happen.” So said Mulder and so we all felt in the ballpark. 😉

So many passionate Yankee fans were silenced in the wild celebration of A’s fans. Twas BEAUTIFUL! Why? Because we won against the Yankees. And oh dear, some Yankee fans were bitter and rude about it. Blah on them! I loved it. I loved the way my heart was beating and the way all of us were jumping and yelling and celebrating. Pure rush!
