Back from Carmel…

We’re back from our long weekend! I was extra lazy when we came home and just lazed about. Baseball, rugby— sports watching at its best. 😉

And how was our weekend? Well, check out more pictures I took…

Saturday we walked up and down Ocean Avenue in Carmel. We had lunch at a deli, then did a bit of shopping. (I was fiending for the Coach store!)

Hog's Breath
Hog’s Breath

We didn’t go in at Hog’s Breath. It was crowded!

crashing waves…

We did do the 17 mile drive, though it filled us with a bit of envy as we passed by the gorgeous houses with the beautiful views.

more waves
still crashing…

I just loved standing there and listening to the ocean. Crashing waves…

a red nosed reindeer?
I just thought this was funny…

This was a sign along the road to the resort. It made me giggle everytime we passed by.

Cannery Row
Cannery Row

On Sunday we went to Monterey and walked along the famous Cannery Row. The line for the Monterey Aquarium was insane so we didn’t go in. We had lunch at Louie Linguini’s Seafood Shack. Good food. A bit of a wait.

Yummy!

Actually, I didn’t have one of these. I just had to take a picture though. Mmmm.

Lounging…

Ahhh, the good life. 😉

A lovely lovely time in the Monterey Bay area. The weather was nice and cool, so unlike here in the Central Valley. The Carmel Valley Ranch resort was nicely situated and our suite was nice. The only thing we didn’t like so much was the noise from our neighbors. People with kids must vacation too, eh? 😉

We didn’t take advantage of the golf course or the walking route. Lazy! 😆 But I really loved just knowing that the ocean was a short drive away. I think I’m meant to live closer to the coast. Ah well.
