The weekend is upon us…

listening to... “Disconnected” by Lindsay Lohan

Right, we bought the Lindsay Lohan CD today. Picked up Kelly Clarkson too. Rockin’ chicks, groovay. I’m actually surprised by Lindsay’s CD. Not so popsy cutesy and not so dancey either, like the “bonus track” Rumors. Why is that song a “bonus track” when it was the first single from the CD? I don’t get it!

I got to drive the new car today. Smooth ride. I love having a moonroof. Now I just need days a little warmer so that I can enjoy the rush of air from the top. 😉

We had lunch at the Elephant Bar on Wednesday and that night I was sick again. This time the whole nasal congestion, body aching thing. Ughhhh! I had some of the brownie/ice cream desert at E Bar and back at the office I had the window by my desk open because the office was too warm. The combination of ice cream and cool air did me in! Blah. I was out of it Thursday. I probably shouldn’t have gone to work, but I did. I was better today, so to work I ventured.

This weekend is the “big” Xena convention in Burbank. The Xena/Herc fan in me LONGS to be there, even though none of the lovely handsome men from the show are going to be there (no disrespect to Ted Raimi, David Franklin, Alexis Arquette, or Roger Morrissey). Actually, who the heck did Roger Morrissey play?! Anyhoo, if ANY of ***my*** fellas were going to be in attendance, I would have been there. Is it so much to ask for at least one of the following? Erik Thomson (’cause I’ve never met him in person), William Gregory Lee (because I want to wish him a happy birthday face to face), Ryan Gosling (who never appeared on Xena but did play Young Hercules), Karl Urban (just because I MISS HIM!!!), Chris Conrad (I just want to know what he’s doing nowadays), Bruce Campbell (because I always seem to miss seeing him), Charles Mesure (I want to see him in person again), Patrick Fabian (even though he only had one Xena appearance, he’s groovay), Tim Omundson (because I had a chance to take a picture with him and I didn’t!). I could think of more. Almost any combination of the above would induce me to make a trip down to So Cal. In fact, if only one of a few of those men were going to be a guest, I would be there! 😉

And oh, 10 years of Xena? No, it’s not ten years of conventions. It’s the ten year anniversary of Xena’s first appearance. The show debuted in 1995.

I heard from one of my former co-workers today. JOSH!!!! 😀 It was great hearing from him. He caught me up on some SRJ gossip that I hadn’t heard yet. It’s nice to feel connected to my old workmates. Now I need to email him back.

I’m so glad it’s the weekend…
