An indication of too much baseball on the mind…

File this under “Yeah right!”

Before I went to bed last night, I started working on a possible layout change for this weblog. Yes, it’s a Mulder one. 😉 As I was making the graphic I thought to myself, “I should do one with all my fellas on it. Or at least my A’s fellas.” My mind flashed to Zito, of course. “Right, make a Zito/Mulder layout!”

At around midnight, I stopped my work and turned off the computer. I went to bed and dreamt…

I was at a street fair (?) and the A’s players were milling about. It was a casual atmosphere. Either no one knew they were there or everyone had already gotten their time with the guys. I had my camera with me, of course. Jen was there! We met up just as we caught sight of Mulder. I wanted a picture with him (OF COURSE!), so we approached him and I told him I wanted a picture. He was happy to oblige. He sat down and I guess I was going to stand beside him (or sit on his lap?). I handed my camera to Jen and just as she was going to take the picture, Zito joined us. He wanted to be in the picture too. LOL! So Jen took our picture and I thank the guys. I wanted a picture alone with Mulder, but I never get one. 😛

I checked my camera for the picture, but alas, it’s not there! There are pictures of the street fair, cakes, flowers, etc, but no picture of me with Mulder and Zito. I was so disappointed! And somewhere there, the dream ends.

Strange, eh?

today in baseball A’s articles of note

***Mulder, Dye back in form as A’s beat Rangers again – by Rick Hurd, CONTRA COSTA TIMES at Yahoo
A recap of last night’s game.

Mulderism:
“It’s good to feel completely healthy,” he said. “I was joking with (A’s broadcaster) Ray Fosse that this is the first time I’ve felt completely normal since July. All joking aside, it’s good to just make pitches and not worry about how I’m feeling.”

Another recap of last night’s game

***Chavez’s Golden gift by Mychael Urban
Oh my goodness, I think I’m going to cry. Can I just this? WOW!

From the above article:
Washington also told Chavez that a coach didn’t deserve such an extravagant gift, but Chavez wasn’t having it.

“He tried to tell me that I had done all the work, that I earned it between the lines,” Chavez said. “But I told him, ‘You know what, Wash? Sometimes the whole story isn’t told between the lines. You deserve this as much as I do.'”

***Zito, A’s prepare the brooms
Preview of today’s game.

“It’s hard to explain. Things just work out that way against certain teams. It goes the other way sometimes, too. The underlying thing is that confidence breeds success.” —Zito, on his staggering success against the Rangers

Zito is 11-0, 2.40 lifetime vs. TEX. So does that mean it could be a good game for him? Let’s hope so!

Ohhh! I downloaded the A’s 2004 schedule to my Outlook, which of course updated my PDA. Now I can check my PDA for game times and all of that! Isn’t that just totally geeky of me?! LOL!
