redemption denied

redemption denied
forgiveness out of reach
hope merely a dream
a pleading for peace
surrendering the soul
giving up the sorrows
brings nothing to the whole
not light upon tomorrow
so fall deeper into darkness
lose all thoughts of power
sink further into despair
shrink down and cower
