haven’t we met before
so long ago
a time we can’t remember?
haven’t we touched before
then wanted more
not asking for forever?
haven’t the stars
twinkled from afar
winking mischief upon us?
hasn’t fortune shone
upon us alone
before fading to dust?
haven’t we walked away
yet wanted to stay
only to say goodbye?
haven’t we lived in regret
trying hard to forget
ever wondering why?
