Tomorrow’s game beckons

Mulder warming up...
Mulder warming up today…

Mulder aims to force a Game 7 – Please do, Mr. Mulder. Nothing would please me more than to watch a torturous game 7. 🙂 And I’m sure those Cardinals fans want just a little more time at Busch stadium. Keep your cool, make your pitches, and that’s all you can do…

WGL as Ambrosius in Dante’s Cove

I’m still quite giddy about the latest WGL screencaps. Wah is most wonderful!!! I love all the shots, especially my secret one. 😆

Baseball keeps taking over my thoughts. When we were on our way to work today, the husband and I couldn’t stop talking about Albert Pujols’ towering home run. The Astros were ONE STRIKE away from going to the World Series. In their minds, they were packing their bags for Chicago. Then it was all taken away with one swing of the bat. A delay, perhaps? But still, it must be EATING at them. And the Cardinals have new hope. A new game. Another chance.

And Mulder will be the one throwing the pitches. Yah!

I’m also still very sad about Bill King’s passing. It was his time, but I cannot help feeling so very very sad. I won’t ever hear him call a game again. He was, as I wrote in my LJ, the comfort of my summer days when I first started listening to the A’s. I can remember sitting in my room with the radio on (or was it my headphones), listening to the game and keeping score in my own strange fashion. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for the game, the gravel of his voice. He was unique and will ever remind me of my first days as an A’s fan.

Morning Moonlight (shot with my Treo 650)

Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. The moon was bright when we left in the morning. I love looking at the moon. It beckons me with its silver shadows and cool pale mystery. Sometimes I want to be frozen in a moment lit only by the moonlight and cool breeze, darkness otherwise surrounding me and my face turned up to the skies.
