Season Finale…

So, I came home, ate some lunch and settled in for the season finale of CSI. Woohoo for TiVo! I didn’t have to sit through commercials.

But first… Mulder is on the mound right now and he’s got the bases freakin’ loaded! Tis the bottom of the 5th with no outs. Bastards.

And next I babble about CSI. Spoiler space just in case…

I enjoyed the season finale of CSI. It was a freakin’ Nick Stokes episode! Yowsa! If you all didn’t know this one already, Nick Stokes is my favorite CSI. 😉 And George Eads is my latest favorite actor fella. Just a little disclaimer in case I gush too much about him. 😆

My favorite moments: Warrick and Nick in the locker room while Warrick tells the story about almost getting into it with some guys while he’s out with his girl. First off, Warrick has a girl?! What have I missed?… Hodges explaining the Dukes of Hazzard boardgame to Greg. Hodges comments about missing the other Greg with the messy hair, something porn, etc. and Greg replying, “At least I had a style to change.” Go Greg! 😀 I know a certain Canadian lady liked the moment… Catherine swallowing her pride and going to her father for the money to save Nick… The crazy man played by John Saxon when he blew himself up. Ye freakin’ gods!!!… Nick in his truck singing something that I couldn’t hear because my TiVo tweaks out in the beginning of recording HD… Nick saying his goodbyes as Grissom watched and read his lips. I think I cried right then.. Nick’s dead dream and the doctors having fun sawing into him… The rescue of Nick Stokes. Grissom trying to keep Nicky calm. Warrick’s obvious relief to find his friend. And then the big blast!

I will confess, I cried just a little. Nothing too serious. Just a few tears rolling down my cheeks. I am a bit of a sucker. George Eads was fantastic! Here’s this man trying to keep it strong, but the first moments he totally lost it and with good reason. So good. And the tears choking his throat when he’s talking to the girl in jail. Wow. I love it when male actors can make me cry. It just makes me love them more.

The storyline was a little outrageous and slightly grisly and even a little funny. And I LOVED the scene with Nick and Warrick. Warrick is a sexy guy. Yah. Tarentino has a wicked sense of humor but an obvious affection for CSI. He thought up a good story and directed it well.

Everyone did a great job on the episode. Of course, I’m going to have to say that George was GREAT! His Nick Stokes went through it all in the two hours and managed to keep his head. Until the end. And wow, so powerful.

Yikes, when was the last time I waxed on a tv show? 😆
