I haven’t gotten my A’s postgame alert yet, so I’ll babble a bit while I wait for it…
My sister, visiting from Atlanta, came over today and we spent the afternoon poolside. Ahh, what a life I lead! LOL! It was nice being in the water, the sun warm on the skin, the breeze cool. I’m glad I got to spend time with my sister. It seems so long since we’ve just had time to sit and talk.
I’m currently reading Single Wife by Nina Solomon. An interesting story about a woman who pretends her husband is still around after he leaves and never comes back. (Well, I don’t know if he ever comes back because I haven’t read the end yet.) Strange, but gripping story.
The A’s lost. Again. This time to the Angels. Rich Harden pitched great the first four innings, then he gave up 5 runs. This after the A’s scored 2 at the top of the inning. Horrible. They really need to get a grip!
Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane signed their contracts to continue with The Screen Savers. Yeehaw! I keep having dreams about The Screen Savers studio. And usually Kevin is in them. I think it’s a little strange. Ah well. I want to go to one more taping of the show, but alas, I must be content with my one and only opportunity. And it really was a faschinating time. Maybe when they’re down in Los Angeles, I can sit in again. It’s so cool being part of a studio audience…
