“O Sole Mio” by Michael Amante

I ended up staying at home yesterday. I didn’t feel too hot. When will I shake this weariness?
Of course, most days I’m not even motivated to go to work. What’s the use? No one really appreciates the work you do, the air is filling with a kind of unspeakable despair, and the vents need to be changed. I seriously feel ill when I’m there, no matter how much I try to shake it off.
I watched the sheriff’s video the other day. He likes to update us with videos that I think are done during routine meetings with his staff. He talked about meeting the governor (green suit, boots he called “cockroach killers” or something like that), gassing up the boat the department bought. I’m sure he talked about other stuff, but seriously, I didn’t pay too much attention. Although he did say something like “…they need to get their shit together.” Yes, he swore on the video and they didn’t edit it out. Holy crap! It was a good laugh anyway…
SCREENCAPTURES FOR MY VIEWING PLEASURE
Staying home last night, I decide to do some screencaptures, like this one:

Charles Mesure as Mercer in the Xena episode “The Price”
I hadn’t remembered the episode before I started doing the screencaps. It’s amazing, I didn’t notice Charles in his early appearances on the show, but now, years later, I am suddenly captivated by him. See what meeting him has done to me? Ye gods!
I also pulled out season 1 of Dark Angel and snapped some shots of my most favorite fellow, Greg.

William Gregory Lee as Zack in the Dark Angel episode “Cold Comfort”
COUPLING COMMENTARY ON SERIES 2
I watched some episodes of Coupling yesterday. (Gee, I was totally constructive, wasn’t I? Well, I did throw some laundry in the wash and turned on the dishwasher, so it wasn’t a total waste of the day.) Anyhoo, I decided to turn on the audio commentary during one of the eps and had such a laugh! I then watched two (or was it three?) more episodes with the audio commentary and it was just a hoot!
Did you know?
*Ben Miles (Patrick) insists on drinking real Guinness beer during the bar scenes. Steven Moffat (creator/writer of the show) says that by the end of the episodes, Ben is quite relaxed, so Steven tries not to write too many consonants for him. LOL!
*Jack Davenport’s (Steve) hair never moves! It’s always perfect, unless his character is going through some kind of stress and you might see a lock or two out of place.
*Richard Coyle (Jeff) eats all the time on set. He’ll grab a handful of peanuts right before he’s set to speak and manages to get his lines off, sometimes while finishing his snack. 😉
*“Jake the Snake” was actually supposed to be an oven mitt, but Gina Bellman (Jane) found that the mitt was too stiff and opted for a sock instread. She says she still has the sock somewhere.
All in all, I loved the audio commentary! I thought it really gave the fan a good behind the scenes glimpse of the show. 😉 I kept hoping to hear from either Richard Coyle or Jack Davenport, but they were not there for the eps I checked out. Maybe on the other DVD. I hope they do the same for series 3.
DELILAH
Have you ever listened to that song by Tom Jones? I’ve become utterly fascinated by it recently. I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s because it’s a dramatic song that you really belt out in the car where no one can hear you. (Yeah, i do that.) Well, I was listening to the words and I thought, “Am I hearing it right?” I checked online at one of those lyrics sites and yes, I was hearing the song right.
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
She was my woman
As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
I could see that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free
At break of day when that man drove away, I was waiting
I cross the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn’t take any more{insert trumpet solo here}
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My, my, my, Delilah
Why, why, why, Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn’t take any more
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn’t take any more
Yeah, strange, eh?
Of course, it’s kinda like really listening to Clay Aiken’s “Invisible.” It’s such a STALKER song! (I like it. LOL!) Or “Mack the Knife,” the mobster song.
People, listen to the lyrics of your favorite songs. Sometimes you might find a surprise…
RESULT OF THE STORM, PERHAPS?
I couldn’t get online after about 5pm last night. I think the storm must’ve done something. Or our ISP sucks? Nah! I shall blame the storm for all the previous babbling. So there.
AND THE BIG DAY APPROACHES…
Saturday is the big day for my friend in Ohio. She takes the matrimonial plunge. I wish her well, I do. May the day go smoothly for her…
