I love having long weekends. This past week seemed to crawl! Was it the weather? Was it the drudgery of work? I do not know.
I wrote my memo and put it in the one of those inter-office envelopes last night. I’m still utterly pissed off at payroll. It just riles me up. Oh, and they added two more floating holidays to everyone’s checks, bringing us to 32 hours of floaters as opposed to 16. Wrong again! It’s like they don’t know what the hell they’re doing in payroll!
We went to the grocery store last night after a late dinner at Applebee’s. In 15 minutes we managed to gather $150 worth of groceries. I saw the Teen People in the check out aisle and we all know who is on the cover. (Orlando Bloom, in case you’re like me and not a teen.) I gave in. I bought the damn thing. I do not think I have ever ever bought Teen People. They started that magazine after I was a teen. So what the hell made me buy the darn thing now? Right, Orlando Bloom. It’s getting out of control!
We’re not happy with our tv. I mean, it’s a groovy piece of electronics, but the lines are driving Husband nuts! When the screen is black or very very dark, you can see these rolling lines. Subtle, but discernible. So we’re going to look at alternative TVs today. 😛 Definitely widescreen.

LOOKING AHEAD
In two weeks, we’ll be in Burbank for the Xena convention. I’m so excited! Oh, and before that, on the Thursday, we’ll be in Fresno for the George Strait concert. Woohoo! So many picture taking opportunities. 😉
I hope I can bring my camera to the George Strait concert. I’ve checked out the website for the venue and there is nothing about “no cameras.” So I’m bringing the camera and taking pictures. We have groovy seats. Bless eBay! LOL!
Now, I know I can bring my camera to the Xena convention. It’ll be fun. Hopefully people will be in costume throughout the convention. I’ll take pictures of that to show you all. It can be very interesting at a Xena convention. I’m thinking of wearing my retro-colored A’s pullover. 😉
And then a week after the Xena con, three weeks from now, we have the A’s Fan Fest. I’m bringing my camera to that and I’m going to try and get another picture with: Mark Mulder, Barry Zito, Tim Hudson. And if I can corner Eric Chavez, maybe I should try one with him. LOL! I bet I don’t get a picture with any of them! If they have the photo op thing again, maybe I’ll fork over some money for Zito and Mulder. I just want to talk to Zito. “Hi, how was your JAG gig? I know the guy you beaned!” LOL! He’ll probably think I’m nuts! And I just want to stand next to Mulder again. He’s so tall.

Omigosh, Bubba Ho-Tep is coming to Modesto!!! I’ve got to see it again. What is Bubba Ho-Tep, you wonder. It’s a movie starring Bruce Campbell and Ossie Davis and it’s just groovay! Of course, I’m a Bruce Campbell fan, so there you go. 😉
