STRANGE DREAMS

on the jukebox: “Absolutely Zero” by Jason Mraz

I’ve had the oddest dreams the past couple of nights.

The first dreams of 2004… Something A’s themed. I don’t know if it was Fan Fest or something like that. The players were in uniform, but Dennis Eckersley was there too. WEIRD!… I had a ring that I wore on a chain alΓ‘ The One Ring. Riiiight. I don’t know what I was supposed to do with it, but I knew that I shouldn’t wear it on my finger…

I know I had a weird dream this morning, but now I can’t remember it! Darn it! I’ll probably remember when I have no means of writing it down. Isn’t that the way? πŸ˜›

F-CK PAYROLL!!!

I probably shouldn’t be so ticked off, but I am. Payroll SUCKS A$$!!!

Here are my suggestions for a better payroll:

UPDATE YOUR PAYROLL SOFTWARE… Why the hell do we check the box that says “Hours worked this pay period is a permanent schedule” if this is continually ignored? Minor adjustments should not drastically alter a timesheet. If we check the box, add the “SH2” line for shift differential, where is the confusion?

BE PERFECT… The hundreds of us are expected to turn in our timesheets completely and correctly, so we should expect no less than perfection from our perfectly completed timesheets. Do it right if you want us to do it right.

RECTIFY THE SITUATION PROMPTLY… The county owes everyone even after each paycheck is written. It is in everyone’s best interest to correct mistakes, ESPECIALLY mistakes by payroll. Why should we have to wait for a correction when it’s payroll’s fault?!

WE WORK, WE GET PAID… It’s utterly simple. If we work overtime, PAY US. If you do not get notice of our termination, PAY US. When we fill out our timesheets completely and correctly, PAY US. And if it’s YOUR FAULT and NOT ours, FIX IT NOW! We are owed for all hours worked, so PAY US. So simple.

Of course, TIIC think that by making the timesheet process complicated, they can not pay us if we make a mistake. But what about those of us who do not make mistakes? Why should we have to wait two weeks, four weeks, two months for the correction? Is that freakin’ legal?

This is why I did not sign that dumbass memo. They want to hold us accountable for our mistakes and any mishaps that might not even be our fault, but they do not want to be responsible for their own mistakes. I bet if we took a poll, we’d find out that more mistakes are made on their part as opposed to ours. I know that for me personally, ALL incorrect paystubs were their fault. And I can deal with human error, but what I cannot understand and what I find UNACCEPTALBE is the fact that they don’t cut checks for the backpay and that they take AGES to rectify the situation. I should, at the LATEST, see the correction in the next paystub. What are the chances? We shall see.

But enough of the negative energy! BLAH!

FOGGY MORNING

Our groovy cleaning lady is here this morning, which is why I’m up and ready and writing. Every other Friday I have the luxury of at least two hours of morning internet surfing and writing. Of course, I had to wake up an hour and a half earlier than usual, but such is life. I shall not complain. After all, my house is getting cleaned!

‘Tis VERY FOGGY outside. I should take a picture of it. LOL! I must say, as scary as it is to drive in fog, I prefer it to rain. Most of the time. Maybe I’ll change my mind if I drive in fog tonight. πŸ˜‰

Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan in POTC
The first movie I watch on our plasma tv will be Pirates of the Caribbean…

I haven’t read the OBloom article in GQ. I looked at the pictures though. ::sigh:: He’s a beauty, isn’t he? I didn’t think that I’d be this into him. Oh well, I give in!

WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON

I want to see this movie! I want to see it because of Josh Duhamel. It looks like a cute movie. I hope it’s decent. I’m going to see it anyway. LOL! And I’m sorry, but this is so wrong. I just wonder if there will be girls out there who actually think that Tad Hamilton is a real person. It made me laugh, but it’s just so wrong! πŸ˜‰
