BASEBALL, ALMOST NEW YEARS, NO RAIN ON TUESDAY…

on the jukebox: “I Swear” by John Michael Montgomery

Baseball first: Eckersley did it all, a baseball perspective by Mychael Urban. Eck was one of the first baseball players I remember from the beginning of my baseball watching. He’s up for the Hall of Fame this year. Is there any way he can’t get it? Better not be! 😛

Toy soldiers unite! – I always forget to remember the Nutcracker. Alas, I missed Zito. Oh well. The reporter gives a good rundown. And the pictures are funny. 😉

EIGHT EIGHT SEVEN SEVEN

When young men are cocky they can come off as d–kheads. Of course, I never get the d–khead treatment. Perhaps it’s because I make allowances for arrogant behavior. Or maybe the cocky young man in question treats me differently. It’s something to ponder.

This time it was “How are you, Noble?” as he walked past my cubicle. I answered in like. Apparently we were both okay. 😉 Later, we were both in the copy room. I chatted him up as he tried to make copies. I don’t know where his mind was, but he got confused with the stuff he needed to copy. Flustered? Well, I’m sure it wasn’t because of me. 😛

And before I set off for lunch, I wished him fun for his New Year’s. “Be safe,” I said. “Never,” he replied. I wish him safe journey nonetheless. I wonder if it’s here he’s going for New Year’s Eve…

EF and I both did a little sigh that made us both laugh because of something we both heard. It’s fun giggling with someone about the same thing. 😉

Looks like Flight 90 out of Oakland is on time for NY. In air at an altitude of 37000 feet and ground speed of 554 KTS. (The internet, such information!)

THANKS FOR THE TAGS AND COMMENTS!

First up, Marci. She’s a Yankees fan. Ye gods! But even though I’m a Yankee hater (sorry Marci!), I promise not to get in your face about it. I think we can all live together in baseball harmony. Rivalries are good. 😉 I added Marci to the links a few days ago…

Irish, thanks for the tag! Your site is way cool and I’ve added your link too.

Heather, thanks for coming by! Green is my favorite color for various reasons and I find it easier to read against black backgrounds. 😉 I can’t wait to see how your site evolves. Looks great so far!

Sharon of Toronto, I am in love with your current ORLANDO BLOOM layout. It’s doing nothing to cure me of him, but it’s doing everything to draw me under his spell. Like I need more to convince me to love him. I think I need to join an Orlando fanlisting or something. LOL! And yes, isn’t my dog Saffy just precious? I’ve got a black lab too. She’s the good dog. 😉

All this talk of Orlando has induced me to post a screencap from POTC…

MORE PLUGS, ETC

I haven’t mentioned this, have I? You can also find me blogging at the following:

IN CLOSETS WITH OUR MEN… a blog for baseball fangirls
I’m known as “Mrs. Mulder” at the blog. I think I’m the oldest and I think I’m the only one who’s actually married. But obviously not to a Mr. Mulder. LOL! Because how weird would that be? 😛 Anyhoo, it’s all for fun and stories, so don’t think we’re strange. And we know our baseball, so don’t mess with us! 😛

LED’S ADVENTURES IN FLORIDA – My former co-worker and friend moved to Florida in November. I finally got the blog put together and he’s now posting. I post emails he sends. Eventually, I’d like it to be the place for all of us who know him to read up on his adventures. 😀

AND THEN I CAME HOME…

Thank goodness, no rain and just a bit of wind. When I turned on our street, I saw three cop cars in front of our neighbor’s house. What the heck was that all about?! Blah!…
